Are we competitive enough?

How time flies... 2005 na in a matter of days. I'll be graduating (sa wakas!) and will face the real world by myself. I'll have a job. Sana high paying and lots of benefits. But wait!
I tried to browse the Job section of Inquirer and believe it or not, nothing fits the skills I learned from being a Computer Engineering student. Meron if you'll include the things I learned by myself. Pero what if I only relied on my school, like most of my classmates are doing? Wala na. Bagsak mo nyan Call Center.
I have nothing against being a Call Center Agent or CSR, but we went to school not to be a telephone operator. Hehehehe.
Balik tayo sa Computer Engineering. According to AMA microsystems' website, here the the careers in Computer Engineering:
1. Network Designers - Network Designers??? Kulang ang tinuturo sa DATCO2 to be an effective network designer.
2. Installation Manager - Maginstall ka ng MPU. HAhAHA! Wala. Kulang pa din.
3. Quality Assurance Technical Officer - Err.. pwede. siguro.
4. Systems Architects - DATCO and CISCO na naman tayo. Kulang pa din.
5. Database Engineers - Database? HA! HA! HA! May Assembly nga pero it's too jurassic.
7. LAN/WAN Analysts - Same as #6
8. Computer Technicians - HAHAHAHAHA!! (Hi butch! hehehe).
All of my expectations came short. Very short.
With this current set-up, we aren't even competitive enough with computer science students.
