 Last August 2004 pa ako nagregister sa eBay Philippines pero ngayon lang ako naka encounter ng mga pesteng taga Nigeria. Noong nagsign up ako sa eBay USA, mga 2001 yata, aware nako sa mga Nigerian scammers na nagkalat. Buti na lang hindi ako bumibili noon kasi wala akong pambili. HAHAHAhA!
Last week, nagpost ako ng brand new na laptop sa eBay. Malinaw sa item description ko na shipping only in the Philippines pero may mokong pa din na nag "buy now". Bagong register lang syang user and location nya ay United Kingdom. Sige, message ko sya na kung nasa Philippines sya ay ishiship ko na yung laptop, provided na magbayad muna sya, as stated sa terms ng auction ko. Eto ang reply nya :

Hindi ko na pinatulan tong mokong na to at sinabi ko na lang na hindi ako nagshiship ng products internationally. Kung nasa United Kingdom sya, bat yung IP address nya ay 196.207.0.18... pag sinearch natin yan, NIGERA ang location. n00b.
Wala na akong natanggap na emails galing sa kanya simula nun. So nagpost na naman ako ng laptop, this time 2nd hand naman. Malinaw na sa terms ko na kapag ZERO feedback yung magbibid, contact nya muna ako to verify kung seryoso sya. Tatlo ang nagbid na ZERO feedback at inemail ko silang lahat. Sinabi ko na icacancel ko ang bids nila kung hindi sila magrereply.

ganun pala yun. I wasn't aware they had that kind of reputation. Pero bro, may ilang pinoy din na naka-sira sa reputasyon natin. 'Di ba once-upon-a-time ayaw tanggapin ng PayPal (at iba pang websites) ang registrants from the Philippines?
