After 5 years of use, my cable modem died last night.
Earlier this morning, Destiny's crew arrived and replaced my old CLDP Motorola CyberSurfr Wave cable modem with a new DOCSIS compliant Motorola SurfBoard cable modem. When Destiny first introduced their DOCSIS compliant modems, I was offered an exchange since we already own the CLDP modem. I refused.

The fastest download speed I achived on my old CyberSurfr modem was 4.3Mbps or more than 500 kilobytes/sec. Way much faster than other broadband packages available. :D I doubt if i could break the 512kbps barrier with this DOCSIS modem. I'll just have to wait. And let's see if this new cable modem can last for another 5 years.
