Magandang Gabi Bayan
Saturday, October 29, 2005 Captain's Log Supplemental Stardate -318826.65

My cousins and I always look forward every Saturday on or before Halloween. Every year, Magandang Gabi Bayan or MGB of ABS-CBN tells stories of the unknown. Tikbalangs, Kapres, Aswangs, Ghosts, Politicians --oops! :D
Watch for it tonight at 8PM on ABS-CBN. Happy Halloween!

Destiny's Site "Downgrade"
Friday, October 28, 2005 Captain's Log Supplemental Stardate -318824.18

I just logged out my Destiny email via their webmail facility when I was forwarded to a new site layout of the Destiny homepage. And boy, I'm disappointed in what I've seen. I've been a loyal Destiny Cable Internet subscriber for 5 yrs-- loyal in a sense that I even helped in the maintenance of the TV schedule site for their CATV, helped in the maintenance of the DOGZ website, submitted several site layouts for consideration of being approved as the layout of Destiny's homepage. Now, the new site makes me puke.
When you first look at it, you'll say... "WOOOW! FLASH!" but after several seconds, you'll say... "WTF?!". The new site certainly is a downgrade from the previous php-based engine. Now it's just all fancy flash-HTML with lots of "new window" links. --- almost all links opens in a stupid new window. -_- Talk about usability.
Want to apply online? You'll have to print a missing JPG.. YES JPEG image file and fax it to their office. What happened to the APPLY ONLINE form? The DOGZ's logo has also been massacred. Every letter of the first word now is color red.
The FAQ section is also centuries old! Those where the same contents I've read when I was still in my primitive maple.com.ph dial up account 6 or 7 yrs ago. I-update nyo naman. -_-
It's not too late Destiny, you could still fire those responsible for this atrocious website. I could still offer my old and even new layouts if you'll be going to the old fashioned HTML way. The new site sucks. Really.

On Kapamilyas and Kapusos...
Captain's Log Stardate -318821.93
I've been receiving comments in this blog and in my email branding me as kapuso or kapamilya. Our TV is locked on ABS-CBN and our family watches mostly ABS-CBN shows but that doesn't mean we call ourselves as Kapamilya. Kapamilya, Kanguso, or whatever dumb labels you call it, WE ARE ALL FILIPINO. PERIOD.
It's sad how media has sublimely induced diversity among us but ironically promotes peace and unity to the Filipinos. If you could just look at the Message Boards of the 2 big networks, you'll see what I mean. 2 camps throwing childish accusations among each other. Mindless discussions on who's the best... the list goes on.
Just look at their commercials, "ang kapuso... tapat..." So if I brand myself as Kapamilya, I'm not honest? During calamities, they race to get to the scene and show the whole world they care. Why don't they just combine their resources, in that way, they could help a lot more. They act just like our politicians. They really don't care, they're just after the money. MONEY.
Competition is good, but if you abuse this, that's another story. Besides, their programming lacks the quality the Filipinos deserve. That's one of the reasons why TV Patrol is the only thing I watch nowadays.

They finally stopped! My Globe's TXTNONSTOP15 has finally ended. So sad... :~) I registered for Globe's Unlimited SMS for 1 day last September 23 and they gave me 1 month of unlimited texting Globe to Globe!
Sender: 2870 Message: Your Globe NONSTOP SMS service is now inactive
Hay... Sayang :D. I've approximately sent 1200+ SMS during that period. Thank you Globe. For just P15, my unlimited SMS lasted for more than a month. Mwehehehehehe. >:)

Busy... busy... busy...
Captain's Log Stardate -318821.88
Whew! Been busy for the past few days because of our online store's SEC permits and the impending relaunch of our gaming website, GameOPS.
We had our papers notarized earlier at the Manila City Hall for just for P100 compared to P50 per page times 4 pages times 6 sets for a whopping P1,200 on the Novaliches' post office! Talk about grandslam scam.

Since it's the color coding schedule of Lalaine's car and it's already 2PM, we decided to go at SM North EDSA and stay there until the color coding scheme is over. On our way to SM, we saw Dean Emy Magada boarding a car with Buena as the driver.... driver... muchaha... :~)

After eating our lunch, we bought tickets for the movie Ispiritista. :~) Bossing! Look at how small the movie tickets now and how expensive it has become.
I have lots more to do tomorrow and I'll be writing my final entry for the i.ph blogger program. Sorry Sir Angelo, I promise I'll send all the documents tomorrow :D

HERO Anime Channel
Sunday, October 23, 2005 Captain's Log Supplemental Stardate -318810.44

Anyone remember the time when everyone wanted Destiny Cable as their CATV provider? That was the time when the Star TV pulled their channels off the Lopez owned cable televisions just in time when the NBA Finals was about to start. That was also the time when Cable Internet subscribers, including me, started suffering super slow browsing and almost everyday signal interruptions.
2 years ago, Star TV and the Lopezes(Owners of SKY and HOME Cable) entered into some sort of agreement on the exclusive carriage of its major Star Channels. The Lopezes also entered into some sort of agreement with AXN Channel. And soon, Destiny started to loose channels and subscribers because of this agreement. Cable Internet was at its peak again since a lot of people left Destiny. I'm missing my favorite CATV channel Star Mandarin Movies eversince.

Now Creative Programs Inc., a subsidiary of ABS-CBN, launches another exclusive channel --- HERO. The first ever Anime channel on the Philippines. HERO will probably not make it on Destiny since it's owned by those greedy Lopezes.
SATELLITE PARAMETERS :
CHANNEL ------------------------- 3 Satellite -------------------------- PAS -8 Beam ------------------------------ Pacific Rim Vertical C-Band Location -------------------------- 166 Degrees East Longitude Transponder --------------------- 9C Band Type ------------------------ C-Band Uplink Type ----------------------- Digital Uplink Frequency ---------------- 6105 MHz C-Band Downlink Frequency --- 3880 MHz L-Band Downlink Frequency --- 1270 MHz Downlink Polarization ----------- Vertical Carrier System ------------------- MCPC Modulation ------------------------ QPSK Symbol Rate ---------------------- 28.7 MSPS FEC rate --------------------------- 5/6 Network ID ------------------------ 1
Here's the channels that have been missing on Destiny because of that stupid contracts: Star World, Star Movies, National Geographic, ESPN, Star Sports, ABS-CBN News Channel, Animax and AXN- a channel owned by Sony. A wierd scenario since Destiny is owned by the Solid Group, which is the owns the exclusive Sony Service Centers in the Philippines.
Oh well. Guess I just have to settle with this poster.

I'm staying with Blogger

It's been 4 days since I had my WordPress.com invite. I have imported all of my Blogger entries to my WordPress.com using their Blogger import tool thinking that I could make it my main blog. But I think I'll stay with Blogger for now.
Blogger lets its users customize every aspect of their blog layout and features. But with your free WordPress.com account, you are limited to a few themes and you'll not be able to install other themes and plugins. I had a WordPress blog before and WordPress definitely beats Blogger with its features and plugins. But if you're using the free WordPress.com, don't expect too much. No plugins here.
Until WordPress.com releases more features and abilities, I'll still be blogging on Blogger.

I used to watch evening newscasts at 10PM before, now they're coming in at 1130PM or 12MN! You overload viewers with violence, sex and taglish telecrapnovelas. Encantadia, being watched by children, always saying words like, "PAPATAYIN KITA..." ek ek ek... Endless kissing scenes on other shows, and the supposed-to-be tagalog dubbed asian novelas but with taglish-so-kaka- language.

Pinoy Big Brother Scandal?
Captain's Log Supplemental Stardate -318804.01

Not really a scandal inside the Pinoy Big Brother house. I saw these pictures in one of the online forums I visit and the woman in the picture looks like Chx of Pinoy Big Brother. You decide:

There's also another "scandal" / issue regarding the non-audition of Uma and Cass. This was posted on Pinoy Big Brother's Blog:
PLEASE READ THIS... GIVE YOUR OPINION SA BAGONG PBB CONTROVERSY
July 14, 2005 (CAFÉ MILANO, Malate Manila) Ipinatawag ni Ms. Linggit Tan sina UMA at CASS together with Ms. Carol E., Mr. Pablito B. and Director Lawrence Dyogi (The Voice Behind BIG BROTHER).
Ms. Linggit Tan - Are ready Cass? Uma? Handa na ba kayo? Uma - Yes, Mam, Cass - Hindi po ba talaga kami matatangal kahit ma nominate kami? Director Dyogi - As what Ms. Tan said a while ago, If ever na ma nominate kayo, kami na ang bahala. Pero sure na hindi kayo matatangal, kayong dalawa ang maiiwan sa bahay and after that kayo rin ang maghahati sa money, ang risk lang you need to give that 40% of the Total Cash Prize. Yung house and Lot and Car sa inyo na rin yun, who know's baka madagdagan pa ang prize diba linggit.
Ms. Liggit Tan - Yes we are working for that. Basta do your best, UMA and CASS. Tapos if ever my na force evict sa mga housemate, papasukin naming si SAM. Ok?
UMA and CASS - Yes Mam!! Ms. Linggit Tan - OK na? here's the money 10,000.00 para makabalik ka sa Davao, inform your parent about this ok?
CASS - Thank you po!!!
------- That is the First Part of the 28 scripted files na na record namin -------
Know The Fact!!! Cassandra Ponti - The Former Girlfriend and Lover who use to be the Escort of Congressman F.B. of Iloilo
UMA - Is a model and talent of ABS-CBN and MS. Charo Santos Concio's Personal Favorite
SAM - is the "pamangkin" of Director Lawrence Dyogi (The Voice Behing BIG BROTHER)
Salamat Po!!!
YOUTH ALLIANCE of the PHILIPPINES Sources (MS. Carol E, Mr. Pablito B and MAY)

Rallies, rallies... and more rallies
Thursday, October 20, 2005 Captain's Log Supplemental Stardate -318801.93
Rallies here. Rallies there. Oh when will this fatuity end? Last Friday, we were almost caught between a prayer rally in Recto. We left a few minutes before the water canon mayhem occured. To hell to those people saying it was a prayer rally and nothing political. Yeah right!
People among them were wearing "GLORIA RESIGN" and some were even chanting, "GLORIA RESIGN NOW..." and others. And these priest and other political figures were tolerating them. There's freedom of speech alright, but if these leaders claim that the people joining the rallies really fight for what they are fighting for, I'll have my head shot infront of Rizal Park... err.. maybe i'll just pass this one up to Sen. Miriam. :~)
Don't these people have anything better to do? I've remembered one leader of the so-called Pwersa ng Masa being interviewed. He said that he represents the masses. Representing with a Nokia 7650? Wow! I cannot even afford to buy a colored phone that time and this so called representative owns one?!
And who buys their banners for them? If they are really poor, how can they afford to buy banners and streamers for there rallies? 1 streamer already costs P600 up.
And there's these political people, claiming they share the sentiments of the poor. Really? Well, they can afford not to work everyday because their bank accounts are already overflowing but the people they are dragging along don't.
There's nothing wrong with GMA's CPR, what's wrong is with the people trying to grab power. People using God's name --bishops and priests included. Don't they realize that they are the one causing layoffs and economic instability in our country? And instead of uniting us, they're the one dividing.
I'm sad how things are happening. Everyone claims they're telling the truth. Everyone tells that God is with them. Nothing's gonna happen to our country if this goes on and on. We may not see the Philippines to be as developed as South Korea or Japan in our lifetime. No bullet trains and no high tech gadgets.
If we really wanted change, let's start within ourselves. Learn discipline. I will not be surprised if one day, someone will be blaming the President because her fingernail died.

Call for FREE using Skype!
Monday, October 17, 2005 Captain's Log Stardate -318791.9
I have been using SkypeOut to call my mom in Los Angeles since April 2005 and the quality is comparable to an ordinary phone call and much better than a cellphone call. You have to purchase SkypeOut credits (10 Euro minimum) to call landlines anywhere in the world. 10.00 Euro credits is equivalent to 10 hours of continuous talk to the United States! Ordinary Skype to Skype (PC-PC) calls are free as well as calls to 1-800 numbers in the USA, UK, Poland and France. SkypeOut is not required when calling other Skype users and 1-800 numbers in these countries. So where's the FREE call then?
FREE411.com is offering free directory assistance and free call as well in the United States as long as the number you are calling is listed in their database. Skype users can use this opportunity place a call even without SkypeOut. Since calling 1-800 numbers in the United States is free, you can connect to FREE411's access numbers without any problems.
First, dial +18003733411 and wait for the welcome message. An automated voice recognition software will ask for what city and state you're gonna call. After that, the system will now ask for the name of the person you are calling. If the voice recognition fails to recognize your voice, you'll be forwarded to human operator. You'll have to listen to an advertisement 1st before the system connects your call. Who cares about ads when you're calling for free?
I haven't tried the service yet since my headset has been acting strange for the past several weeks. I don't know how long this will last though. FREE411.com will be bombarded with hundreds, or even thousands, of free VOIP calls within the coming weeks and no once knows how long they could sustain their free directory and calling service. Skype might even stop offering free calls to 1-800 numbers if the demand increases.

Friendster is now officially ghey
Sunday, October 16, 2005 Captain's Log Stardate -318791.72
You may have notice that some of your friend's friendster pages have somewhat morphed into a wierd looking page with unreadable letters and out of this world background images. This is a result an "upgrade" by Friendster that allows users to customize their own profile page.
I believe this move of Friendster was inspired by MySpace, another Friendster-like internet portal. MySpace let's users customize almost every aspect of the profile page. Changing fonts, colors, background images, adding irritating mouse pointers, embbed nonsense videos that will make your browser crash, and a lot more. These customization features of MySpace were the reasons why I didn't sign up for an account. Now Friendster has becoming like MySpace.
You can now add more "friends" to your Friendster account. As of today, you can add upto 1000 "friends". That's an additional 500. As if people in your list are really your friends. Nuts1: Hey nice pic, can you please add me?, Nuts2: Sure! Give me a testi!! Common scenario happening to most youth today. Spending hours in internet shops just to browse friendster. Asking strangers to give them testimonials just to impress others. Geez!
My first impression of Friendster when I heard about it 2 years ago was it was just another spam collecting site. My friend Daniel was the one who invited me to join. I received dozens of invites from him until I got irritated and finally signed up for an account. My account was inactive for 1 month. Then I recieved several YM messages and Emails from my classmates in High School requesting me to join Friendster. OK fine. I've add them all up and decided to look for my classmate back when I was in 3rd grade.
I found him and that got me hooked into Friendster. I searched for my classmates from Pre-School (yes, Pre-school) to High School. I haven't found the person I've been searching for all these years though. She's my cousin and classmate in Grade 2 at Saint Claire School. I last saw her in 1991... umm... long story. Maybe I'll blog about her if I ever find her on Friendster :) (UPDATE 05/02/2008: I finally found her. Read it here)
My friend list has been building up when other sites offering services like friendster popped. Multiply, Myspace, Hi5, etc. Most of my friends where also using MySpace so I checked it out. But those stupid HTML and CSS customzations turned me off. So I sticked with Friendster. Besides, most of them are using Friendster already. What's the purpose of having a gazillion friend link accounts? Unless you have nothing worthy to do all day -_-
People think that they're cool when they add these floating pictures, musics, MTVs, eye straining colors, etc... Floating texts and pictures are irritating. Musics playing over and over while reading something is annoying. Windows Videos embedded on a page will and will always crash a browser. Your colors are ghey. YOU ARE NOT COOL. YOU ARE ALL GHEY! GHEY!

Rest in Peace Casper
Saturday, October 15, 2005 Captain's Log Supplemental Stardate -318788.81

The inevitable happened. Casper died today, and we all thought she was already fine. She was already doing her daily routine since Wednesday. Barking on our newspaper boy, chasing cats, talking to me (in her own unique language), and all things she do since she arrived here 6 yrs ago.
When I was about to feed them lunch earlier, she wasn't around. She was hiding under the car. Looking sick again. I didn't bring her to the doctor last Tuesday since she was already eating normally. The doctor said that it could be a Canine Distemper Virus. I studied the symptoms and most of them are similar to organophosphate poisoning. But I'm no doctor so I really don't know why she and Dagul died.
Before I left today, I was going to bring her a piece of bread when I saw her lying dead under the car. With blood coming out of her nose. That is definitely not Distemper. I kept blaming myself for not bringing her to the vet. She should have been checked up to know what kind of illness struck her and Dagul. It's all my fault. She might be still alive today.
Goodbye Casper. Goodbye my Pikachu. Goodbye dear friend.

Yay! LRT-2 and Free Contacts!!
Friday, October 14, 2005 Captain's Log Stardate -318786.06

Waaaaw!! High-tech!

At pwede na din ako magshades. Astig.

Goodbye Dagul
Tuesday, October 11, 2005 Captain's Log Stardate -318776.51

Our puppy Dagul died this morning because of unknown cause. He was just 4 months old :(
This started last Sunday when Casper, one of our dogs, seemed to be suffering from stroke or mild paralysis. She was just lying on the floor. She didn't moved and her jaw was locked tight when we tried to give her some sugar. My dad massage her whole body while I gave her water through a syringe. After several minutes, she was able to stand up but she threw it all. Then she continued to vomit water every hour.
Yesterday, Dagul did not eat lunch and when I reached home last night, he was already showing symptoms similar to Casper. Paralysis, vomitting, watery eyes, fast heart beat, etc. We gave him sugar and water too but he looks very weak. Since our vet was not available, I posted their symptoms on an online forum and one forumer suggested that the symptoms are very similar to organophosphate poisoning in humans.
My grandma told us that they might just be having an epidemic or virus but my father and I think otherwise. There IS foulplay here. All of their symptoms are very similar to organophosphate poisoning (pesticides). Or I could be wrong.

Alien? Alien!
Monday, October 10, 2005 Captain's Log Stardate -318774.2

Archeologists discovered ancient drawings with elongated heads of human beings in South America years ago. They believed that the tribes in this part of the world practice some kind of rituals during childhood to elongate their heads. But recently, skulls resembling these drawings were discovered in Russia and other parts of the world.
Scientists who examined them said that these skulls have holes. Could these skulls be from humans imitating aliens from other world?

Scientists also discovered that the ancient Aryan civilization developed advanced technologies 40 centuries ago, the same age as Egypt and Babylon. The photo above shows the circles that surround every town in the Aryan region. Further studies on the area revealed advanced sewage systems that protects the residents from floods. There's also an oven and dome-like food storage in every house. The houses where all made of fireproof substance.
There are still numerous unexplained events in our planet today. Some of which where the radioactive isotopes discovered in the tektites in the Libyan desert. There were also bones of ostriches, camels and hyenas in the Odessa catacombs that has been processed with metal tools millions of years ago. There were no human beings capable of doing that millions of years ago and stone age hasn't started yet either. Balls of perfect geometry, carved from granite, has also been found in South America that have been located on top of perfect polygons. People knowing Geometry thousand of years ago huh?
Where there really aliens on Earth millions of years ago or were these only products of advanced civilization that inhabited Earth millions of years ago? Questions...

Globe Telecom to Pull-out?
Sunday, October 09, 2005 Captain's Log Stardate -318771.4
According to the editorial article posted on Abante-Tonite's website, Globe Telecom threatened to pull its business out of the Philippines because of the continued bombing of its cellsites supposedly by the National People's Army (NPA).
It seems that Globe's not the one pulling out but one of its investors, SingTel perhaps? If the Ayala Group will stop its wireless business, we will be left with Smart and Sun. Smart with its greedy attitude and Sun's useless network. Welcome to mobile de-evolution. Go Philippines! Tsk.

Things I like about i.ph
Friday, October 07, 2005 Captain's Log Supplemental Stardate -318765.66
(This entry is part of the i.ph Blogger Program)
i.ph is definitely made for beginners but will also appeal to professional bloggers. I have been encouraging my friends to start a blogger account since I started blogging in Blogger but most of them complained of the difficulty customizing even the preloaded templates Blogger provides.
You have to know at least simple HTML to even add a link to your blogroll and change some of the pictures and layouts. With i.ph, you don't have to know anything about HTML. It's basically copy and paste. You can even post blog entries via email!
i.ph also integrates with your favorite instant messaging client and even VOIP. Easy access for your readers if they wanted to contact you. i.ph already has a built-in tagboard so you don't have to sign up for a separate account and doing another copy-and-paste HTML code. You have the option to sign up for another one though.
Comments have spam filtering built-in also. Trackbacks also comes in bundled unlike Blogger. i.ph can be spoon fed to newbies and also be fully customizable to experts.
Finally, the best feature of i.ph is its Pay4Access that allows users to sell digital contents through their blog. I hope new payment gateways will be made available soon for non-paypal and non-globe subscribers.
So to those who have yet to have a blog, get your first blog at i.ph. You won't regret it.

Captain's Log Supplemental Stardate -318765.58

Buzz has been circulating around blogs and message boards that the Pinoy Big Brother theme is a copy from the music Chandeliers by Care.
Wait for the Care's flash file I've embedded to play and listen to their similarities. Please be patient as the file is 800KB.
EDIT: Just download the clip here. Stupid IE.
So, Pinoy ka ba? Ahay!

You know you're living in 2004 when...
Wednesday, October 05, 2005 Captain's Log Supplemental Stardate -318761.38
Old but still funny...
You know you're living in 2004 when...
1. You accidentally enter your password on the microwave. 2. You haven't played solitaire with real cards in years. 3. You have a list of 15 phone numbers to reach your family of 3. 4. You e-mail the person who works at the desk next to you. 5. Your reason for not staying in touch with friends and family is that they don't have e-mail addresses. 6. You go home after a long day at work you still answer the phone in a business manner. 7. You make phone calls from home, you accidentally dial "9" to get an outside line. 8. You've sat at the same desk for four years and worked for three different companies. 10. You learn about your redundancy on the 11 o'clock news. 11. Your boss doesn't have the ability to do your job. 12. You pull up in your own driveway and use your cell phone to see if anyone is home. 13. Every commercial on television has a website at the bottom of the screen. 14. Leaving the house without your cell phone, which you didn't have the first 20 or 30 (or 60) years of your life, is now a cause for panic and you turn around to go and get it. 15. You get up in the morning and go online before getting your coffee. 16. You start tilting your head sideways to smile. :) 17. You're reading this and nodding and laughing. 18. Even worse, you know exactly to whom you are going to forward this message. 19. You are too busy to notice there was no #9 on this list. 20. You actually scrolled back up to check that there wasn't a #9 on this list. AND NOW U R LAUGHING at yourself.

Refilling? STOP!
Captain's Log Supplemental Stardate -318761.08
Lexmark recently won a court case against ink refilling. Refilling a Lexmark ink cartridge could get you into trouble as some of its cartridges indicate a "single use only" label
I wonder if HP and other printer companies would follow. Ink refilling businesses might be in jeopardy if ink refilling becomes illegal in the Philippines.

3G Broadband Access is Here!
Captain's Log Supplemental Stardate -318760.51

It seems that 3G is finally here. Broadband Philippines has launched its AIRNET PERSONAL WIRELESS BROADBAND in Metro Manila offering speeds upto 1.4Mbps. They're using CDMA technology to deploy the connection to its subscribers

They are currently offering two ways experience their service. One is a telephone like device, ZTE Model WP-960BD Fixed Wireless Terminal, that would connect to your computer via USB. You can also use the device to make local and international voice calls and even IP calls! It is also capable of sending and receiving SMS. The monthly service fee for this is P550. The unit costs P8,700 or you could pay it in 12 months.

They also offer purely data services with the Novatel Wireless V620 PCMCIA card. They claim the you could achieve 1.4Mbps speeds with their service. That's almost as fast as my cable internet connection! Not bad for a wireless connection. Service fee is P950 monthly plus the unit costs P16,000. Available also for 12months or outright purchase.
I might consider this to be used by Lalaine for her mobile office. I just hope their signal is good in Quezon City.

New Symbian Virus Jumps to PC
Captain's Log Supplemental Stardate -318758.7

A new symbian virus has been discovered lately and it infects both symbian cellphones and PCs at the same time.
Cardtrap.A, a Trojan that attacks Symbian mobile phone operating systems, attempts to infect users' PCs if they insert the phone's memory card into their computers. Though this latest threat is considered low-level because it requires user interaction and fails to launch on a number of Windows systems, including XP, it may be a precursor to more sophisticated viruses designed for transfer between mobile devices and PCs, said Mikko Hypponen, F-Secure chief research officer.

Your Name, Your Mail with i.Mail
Captain's Log Stardate -318757.6
(This entry is part of the i.ph Blogger Program)
i.ph's services are not limited to providing you with blogs and photo galleries. With every i.ph account, comes a 10MB email account with POP access! Well 10MB maybe a farcry from today's standards of free email but with POP access and an easy to remember address, it's a good deal!
You can access your webmail through your control panel or by going to http://mail.i.ph. Login using your username (without the i.ph domain). The webmail looks like a modified squirrel mail interface so you'll be sending your first email in no time.
Wait a minute, Spam you say? Don't worry, i.Mail also has Spam filtering built-in to prevent unwanted emails in your inbox. You can enable your spam filter by clicking Options and Spam Filters. You can then enable all the database filters available. The filters are from databases that have fought spam eversince. They have collection of emails and DNS of known spammers all over the world. I haven't tested its spam filtering capabilities yet but you may send me spams at j3p0y@i.ph.
POP access is also available with you i.Mail account. With this, you can send and receive your emails using your favorite email client. i.Mail is just a small add-on for your i.ph blog.
There's so much more to explore with i.ph. Still I haven't finished compiling my MMS wallpapers for my i.ph blog. Stupid ASUS board. I miss my PC. :(

My Love Ssagaji: 100 Days with Mr. Arrogant
Monday, October 03, 2005 Captain's Log Supplemental Stardate -318755.86

Napapalitan na namin yung copy ng My Sassy Girl kanina. Ang pinalit 3 in 1 na DVD. My Sassy Girl, Windstruck and My Crazy Love.
The movie stars HA Ji-Won, locally famous as Erica of Memories of Bali of ABS-CBN, and Kim Jae-Won. Ang nakakatawa dito, si HA Ji-Won ay 25 yrs old na nung nirelease tong movie while playing the 16yr old role and yung leading man nya 23 or 24 yrs old lang. Kakaiba talaga sila magmanipulate ng age. Bagay na bagay kay Ha Ji-Won yung role... ohh the cuteness!
According sa cover ng DVD, My Crazy Love and title nya pero nung naghanap nako ng related info sa internet, marami palang titles itong movie:
1. My Crazy Love 2. 100 Days with Mr. Arrogant 3. Naesarang ssagaji 4. Ssagaji My Honey 5. Slave Love
Sa mga gustong matawa, better watch this movie. Haay... Kelan kaya... Sarap ulit-ulitin.

Yehey! Video Scandal
Captain's Log Stardate -318754.65

We all know that video scandals proliferate our cellphones, internet, and "suking" manong vendor in Quiapo nowadays. Imagine the lives ruined by just merely sending the videos on MMS or email to your friends. Philippine laws are very limited or even useless when it comes to dealing with this kind of offense.
I was reading some blog and my mouse found a way on Yehey's Tabloid site which offers downloadable video scandals in .3gp format!
Yehey Tabloids got it covered from FEU Scandal, St. Paul Scandal, Ethel Booba Scandal, Jaycee Parker's video, Piolo Pascual and Karel Marquez's alleged nude videos, Upskirts, and even Mahal's nude shower scene!
The site also has explicit photos of several local celebrities taken from the cellphones. Cristine Reyes' nude shots with Joross Gamboa, Alicia Bonifacio (Meyer), Diana Zubiri's photo shoot during her early years, Francine Prieto's photo shoot in Korea, a papparazzi shot of Heart Evangelista and several other high school or college girls.
I can't believe that Yehey! is tolerating this kind of exploitation. So next time your boyfriend asks you to pose nude infront of his cellphone, think about it. You'll never know, you might be seeing your own nude shots and videos in the internet sometime soon. And you'll see your self in the covers of every pornographic CDs in Quiapo being slobbered by everyone.
Maybe it's now time to polish that e-commerce act and give it some fangs. But that would be far from reality since our senators and congressmen are busy organizing useless investigations and super "cool" rallies that really don't have any relation to patriotic expression but just affects ony our own economy, if we still have an economy.

GameOPS.net Revival
Saturday, October 01, 2005 Captain's Log Supplemental Stardate -318750.25

My schoolmate-friend-cousin Rocky and me once dreamt of having our own video game site back in 1999. From his surname, opiña, GameOPS (GameOPSpiña) was born on May 1999. For some time, our site enjoyed its share of audience ( Globe Telecom even provided us FREE newspaper ads :D ) until we became busy with our college studies.
