I finally have a ticket for WWE Raw's Live Tour. The show will be on February 24, but the tickets are selling like hotcakes so I bought one today. I've asked Lalaine to come with me but she refused... Actually, she hates it when I watch WWE. It's scripted daw. But who cares? I'm entertained by watching these sweaty men fly around.. Just kidding! I'll be watching the event with my childhood buddy, Glen.
I've been a wrestling fan since I was a kid and WWE's Philippine Tour is a once in a lifetime event, and maybe the last time I could see my childhood favorite wrestlers to perform live. They're not getting younger you know. :P

Whew! I just finished watching Dekaranger Episodes 1-44 and Dekaranger The Movie today.. I started on the 26th. I still lack episodes 45-50 though. Ayumi Kinoshita, who plays Deka Yellow, was the one who got me interested in watching this series. Besides having similar looks with Sandara Park, she can sing. :D Mika Kikuchi (Deka Pink) also got prettier as the series progress... *drools*

Last December 24, I bought 1 box of Piccolo Corsair firecrackers in Quiapo and the box indicated that it was imported in Poland by Tropic. Today, Lalaine and I went to Carriedo to buy some bags and locks and I saw someone selling box of 10 of Piccolo. I bought 2 boxes.
The one I bought today had is boxes printed with Made in China. And the one I bought last Saturday was packed (imported to) in Poland (as indicated in the box). If all of these were really made in China, what's with the different color?? Pirated crackers? Hmm...
Kuya Pau and Family went here today to have Christmas eve dinner while me and my father were at Quiapo... looking for Christmas gifts for his "girlfriends" over at China Bank :D j.k.
I bought this toygun which shoots some kind of flare/fireworks and a box of Piccolo, a very popular firecracker among kids. You just lit it up just like a match and throw. It's much louder than pinoy made triangles (also cheaper for P20 per 60 pcs). The firecrackers are apparently made from Poland as indicated on its box.

Please consider this as a formal protest in behalf of my daughter Judith A. Abad, and her co-proponent, Ralph Leenard Asprer, regarding the grades given to them for their Thesis B and other relevant matters as follows:
1. a. 75% grades for PRELIMS (Prelim Quiz 1=75, Prelim Quiz 2=75, Prelim Class Standing=75 and Prelim Exam=75); b. 75% grades for MIDTERMS (Midterm Quiz 1=75, Midterm Quiz 2=75 Midterm Class Standing=75 and Midterm Exam=75); c. 75% grades for FINALS (Final Quiz1 = 75, Final Quiz2 = 75, Final Class Standing = 75)?
Please furnish us a full evaluation of how these grades were arrived at, the criteria and methods applied, etc.
2. According to your Ms. NIZA DEL ROSARIO, late submission of software was the only basis for giving the proponents an NFE grade. The glaring fact is, submission of software was VERBALLY ANNOUNCED ON THE DATE OF DEADLINE ITSELF. Beforehand, NO FORMAL ANNOUNCEMENT WAS POSTED IN THE BULLETIN BOARD, hence not everyone concerned was able to comply with the rush VERBAL ANNOUNCEMENT. By the time the proponents were ready to submit their software, MS. DEL ROSARIO was nowhere to be found in school. When Judith finally reached her by cell phone, she said they could submit the software to her on the day of GRADE DISTRIBUTION. But again, MS. DEL ROSARIO never showed up. During the demos, she refused to tell the proponents their grades, but assured she will inform them later. But it never materialized. This is plain incompetence on the part of MS. DEL ROSARIO. She is unprofessional because she cannot even handle simple scheduling or announcements. When complaints come in, she makes a disappearing act.
3. Per records of the registrar, it is incredible that almost all students who were enrolled in Thesis B last trimester (1st trimester S.Y. 2005-2006) also got 75% on their grades. Please don’t offer generalities as an excuse for my daughter’s grades. In the case of my daughter and her co-proponent, they CERTAINLY DO NOT DESERVE 75%. Why will they get the same grade of 75% given to those who underwent RE-DEMO or RE-DEFENSE? THEY NEVER HAD ANY RE-DEMO NOR RE-DEFENSE. Something smells fishy here.
4. Due to the numerous hassles, roundabouts, and shabby treatment, you have been giving my daughter and her co-proponent unwarranted delays have set in to bar processing of their transcripts and diplomas.
It is therefore obvious that you have taken up the cudgels against my daughter on a personal level. Past unpleasant incidents which were subject of our previous discussions on the scheduling of their defense, which I was made to believe were not ill motivated are now coming out clear. You can fool people most of the times, but not all the time. It is amazing how as Dean of BSIT graduating students, you out rightly signed the Summary of Grades prepared by Mr. Nathaniel Pari-an, purportedly newly appointed Thesis Coordinator. How was Mr. Pari-an able to sign for the grade inputs, when he had no direct participation in the development of the Thesis even though he was part of the defense panel. As Dean, you cannot claim that you have no concern why my daughter’s grades suddenly plunged. Of the numerous students at AMA Las Pinas, you and Judith were in constant touch because of her active participation in campus activities, seminars, etc. notwithstanding her consistently high academic record. If the past Thesis Coordinator or Instructors are no longer around, the burden of contacting them should not be imposed on my daughter. Recorded inputs cannot be entirely relied upon unless the instructor can be confronted. If you will recall, this erroneous way of computing final grades had happened when my daughter and her instructor recomputed her final grade on the Rizal subject.
I know where my daughter stands academically. Please refer to her transcript of records. There is no need to point out straight to your face why she should not be disqualified for honors. Because of the anomalous 75% grades you undeservingly manipulated, you blocked her qualification for honors. Stop making fools out of us. It’s either you and your staff particularly MS. NIZA DEL ROSARIO are a bunch of nincompoops or you are simply using your position to give in to your personal whims to the detriment of your students. Either way, you are definitely a liability to AMA and the mission it emblazons.
We are now therefore taking steps towards elevating this matter to higher AMA Authorities to give justice to my daughter.

This new rate is an addition to their current call and text promos but it would be nice if they make these promos permanent. Per second charging was possible after all... so what's with all the, "Per second is expensive and complicated for our part yada yada", they're claiming before?
Yahoo! just released yet another version of their instant messenger software. Yahoo! Messenger 7.5 Yahoo! Messenger now has features like Skype. It has a Phone Out and Phone In features similar to Skype's SkypeOUT and SkypeIN. What separates this version from Skype is the cheaper outgoing and incoming rates.
Currently, SkypeOUT charges US$0.024/min to calls made to the USA. YM 7.5 charges only US$0.01 per minute! SkypeIN charges €10 for 3 months or a total of US$3.98 per month. Yahoo! on the other hand charges only US$2.50 per month. I've been using SkypeOUT since April and it really has saved us a lot. More talk time and less bills. You must have at least a broadband connection to enjoy clear calls though.
I'll try Yahoo's VOIP when my used all of my remaining SkypeOUT credits.

I recieved this email a few minutes ago and a few hours after a PLDT maintenance fixed our line. It seems that sending a message through email is faster than calling 173 :D *Computer end log*
It worked! PLDT's online support form worked! Yesterday, I filled up an online form to contact PLDT. The site gave me a ticket that within 3 days I will be contacted by PLDT. WoW! It only took them 12 hours to respond! It appears that my old dial up line has been shorted and caused our line to be dead.
We're fortunate enough to be serviced by PLDT in 1 day. Andrew had a similar problem with his PLDT DSL 2 months ago, and it took PLDT 3 weeks to fix his problem :D
Our phoneline has been literally dead since yesterday. No dial tones and it could neither make an outside call or receive a call. My dad has been calling 173 today the whole afternoon and no one is answering. Lalaine called PLDT's 171 and she was told to call 173 for repairs. I also asked my friends to call 173 but no one is answering.
I've checked their website and found a form to contact PLDT. I don't know if this going to work but contact me within 3 days??! Why after 3 days?! And the only way they could contact me is through my email address... Nice. _|_
I just recieve an invitation to try out Yahoo! Mail BETA today. When you first log in, you'll notice that the new interface is much like Outlook Express. It has a new tab-browsing view in which you could browse emails, compose new, read, etc. in different tabs within the window... very similar to Firefox's tabbed browsing. Composing an email always opens a new tab. This makes the inbox easily accessible. In GMail, I have to open a new window just to access my inbox when I'm composing a new email.
You can also drag and drop emails to folders with ease, Add and edit contacts easily. Search messages a lot faster than the old Yahoo! Mail, and a lot more. But Gmail's search gives better results than Yahoo.
Within minutes, I was able to organize my Yahoo Inbox using the drag-and-drop feature. Yahoo! Mail Beta also checks for new mail every 10mins.
I'm beginning to hate GMail after a few minutes of using Yahoo! Mail BETA. But GMail is also in BETA so let's expect a lot of new changes in the coming months, the same goes with Yahoo! Mail Beta.
Gmail has rolled out several new features to its Gmail users. Notably was the new Virus scanner.
How does anti-virus scanning work?
Each time you send and receive attachments, Gmail automatically scans them for viruses.
If a virus is found in an attachment you've received, our system will attempt to remove it, or clean the file, so you can still access the information it contains. If the virus can't be removed from the file, you won't be able to download it.
If a virus is found in an attachment you're trying to send, you won't be able to send the message until you remove the attachment.
Google has yet to reveal the virus they're using. Google also launched several new features in Gmail. You can now preview MS Office and PDF attachments in HTML before downloading them into your computer. Export contacts, add RSS feeds ontop of your Gmail, and many more.
BPI Family Savings Bank (Gen. Luis, Novaliches Branch) really pissed me off today. Last week, we requested a bank certificate from them for our SEC requirements. We gave them the format and they didn't accept it as they already have a template. Last Friday, with all of our papers completed, we filed our papers to the SEC's office in Mandaluyong. The bank certificate issued by BPI was not accepted as it is not the format provided by SEC.
On monday, they refused to give us the format we've been requesting and instead gave their telephone number for SEC to call. Tuesday, we returned to SEC and same thing happened. SEC denied BPI's certificate.
Today, BPI told us that we could get the certificate by 1PM, but at 1230PM, we recieved a call from one of their bank officers telling us that the certificate would be issued 1 week after it has been verified. We just closed our account and since my family's entire savings are on China Bank, we opened our corporate account there. In less than 30 mins, we had our certificate.
I don't know if these people (BPI) are really clueless or stupid. We're just requesting a Treasurer in Trust Certificate. A simple f*ckng certificate. 1 week processing? ULOL!
My grandma asked me to bring her broken shoes to Mr. Quickie today. So after SEC denied our BPI Bank certificate for the 2nd time, Lalaine and I went to SM North.
When we are about to pay for the shoe repair, Lalaine saw a sign that shows different discounts for different cards. Globe Girlfriends is one of them, where Lalaine is a member. She asked the Mr. Quickie personel on how she could avail the 10% discount being offered to Globe Girlfriends' members but the they didn't know how. They don't know the keywords and access number for Globe Girlfriends.
Globe should have given their members a downloadable STK menu or a simple card to serve as proof that a person is a member of Girlfriends Club. Just like what they did with GenTXT and Globe Kababayan members.
I am now officially addicted to YouTube.com. Since searching the Numa Numa video, i've viewed a lot of hilarious and even hard-to-find videos from all over the world. I've been looking for the anime Yaiba for the past several years now and upto now with still no luck. But with YouTube, I've found a whole episode and its opening sequence. I hope someone uploads them all. Sailor Moon Live's episodes have already been uploaded to YouTube.
I've also seen rare tagalog videos of Maskman's Opening and Ending themes. Tito, Vic, and Joey's version of Voltes V. Live performances of Bioman's theme, and more.

XBOX 360 has already been launched with a hefty price tag of US$399.99 (Approx. PHP22,000). Stocks have already been exhausted and gamers who'll order today won't recieve their units until March 2006. But if you can't wait until these stocks arrive so you could buy on your local vendors, you could go to eBay Philippines and bid in one of the XBOX 360 being auctioned. The auctions have a starting price of PHP109,950 (Approx. US$1999) for the Core bundle and PHP149,950 (Approx. US$2726) for the Premium Bundle.
Sure you could be the coolest kid on the block if you could get your hands on one of these consoles but for PHP100K?? This is crazy. And besides, people who bought the XBOX360 have reported game and system crashes. Even while booting, the system crashes. Typical for a Microsoft product.

When I was still studying, I saw one of my classmates doing some research about PLDT using the internet. He immediately went to Google to look for answers. Why look for something in Google if you could find it directly on their official website? Surely my friend knows pldt.com.ph but instead, she opted to burden herself with searching through hundreds of Google search results. It took her almost an hour to finish her research, ending in PLDT's homepage.
It's still common today as individuals turn to search engines first when they're looking for something specific. You could save valuable time if you would use your common sense and search for something on their website, whether it's the latest reality show or showbiz news.
Google is powerful, but you could do more if you use a little of your common sense.
If you haven't heard about the Internet Phenomenon,Numa-Numa Guy, then maybe you're inside the cave when he first released his Numa Numa Dance video in newsground.com a year ago. Gary Brolsma published his video last December 2004 in newsgrounds. I first saw this in our old (and dead) DOGZ forum. It fas funny. Really funny. I've completely forgot about his video until I saw a trailer of Chicken Little doing the Numa-Numa Dance.

There's a VCD sale going on in one of the stalls in SM North... They were mostly old films and each priced at P100. I asked the saleslady if they have Star Trek and she replied with, "Sir wala po kami..." Trusting my instincts, I browsed through all of the VCDs and found 4 Star Trek movies! Insurrection, Star Trek III, Star Trek IV, and Star Trek V. Unfortunately, I didn't find First Contact, the best Star Trek movie I've watched.
I'll be having another Star Trek marathon this weekend as I haven't watched William Shatner's Star Trek movies, except for Star Trek I and II.
Chx is no longer a kid... but Vina's sister just turned 16 last November 6 and she already has a very disturbing picture being circulated in the internet.
