Pinoys Need PayPal!

When Lalaine and I decided to setup our own online store a year ago, the first problem we encountered was the payment system. Our main target customers are OFWs and foreigners with pinoy relatives. Local buyers were only our secondary targets. To resolve our payment system problems, I signed up for 2checkout so we could accept credit card and check payments. BUt as soon as I was already integrating 2checkout.com to our store, I realized that they don't allow prepaid phone cards to be sold and even money remittances. So back to the drawing boards for me.
Then I decided to use PayPal. But the problem is, Philippines has been dropped from their list of allowed countries. Drats. Ok no problem, I would just asked my mom to open a bank account on my behalf so my 4 year old account would be verified. So it's all set. Paypal for foreign buyers and Yehey PayPlus for local buyers. Then boom! Yehey's PayPlus died. They just went kaput.
Now a few weeks ago, PayPal started acting strange. PayPal wont let me in on my account. PayPal keeps on asking me to change my password and even verify the credit card I'm using. The reason? PayPal has detected that my account is being accessed from the Philippines and they where just "concered" about my account. Ok fine. More problems.
Since our company's small and on a limited budget, we can't afford to buy personal payment gateways. They're expensive. PayPal is one solution. Sir J.Angelo has a proposal. If eBay brought eBay to the Philippines, why not PayPal? Small businesses like ours would greatly benefit from PayPal.
Let's fight for what is right! Support Jangelo's proposal! Bring PayPal back to the Philippines! Now Na! Ay. (whoever thought of that "now na" expression should be shot. fag.)

wahehehehe
PayPlus+ dead? whoah.
I agree, bring back PayPal.
yup... payplus is dead :(
ah. kaya pala until now hindi pa fully functional yung online store nyo. tsk. yeah. brin paypal back! i need an account there too. :(
Jep,
Kaya ka na-detect from the Philippines and asked to change password sa Paypal is because you must be using a new ip address from your ISP (which malamang is PLDT). The trick to avoid this incessant calls to change passwords is to monitor your ip and make sure it begins only with 210.213 or 210.1 and not 58.69, 210.5, 124.106. This works for me. By the way, PLDT DSL user ako.
More Info
@andrei - static naman yung IP for the past 3 years (3 times lng nagpalit). Destiny Cable ako 6 years na... yoko sa PLDT :P
So talagang pinagiinitan nila (Paypal) ang Pinas. Bad trip naman, I guess every time you login, you have to verify everytime and change passwords all the time. Hassle!
