Would you dare enter that coach (plastered with AMACU ads or not) while you carry delicate and expensive computer hardware? HELL NO! Glen and I waited more than an hour inside the MRT-3 Ortigas Station waiting for an MRT-3 train in which we could fit in without harming the computer hardware we're carrying. We even decided to ask for a refund since we were already standing there for an hour. Then finally a medium packed train arrived. When we reached Quezon Ave. Station, our ticket was rejected. Reason? OVERSTAYING INSIDE THE TERMINAL. P*^%SD&^$$!!!#@#2 We waited more than an hour to board, and WE HAVE TO PAY ANOTHER FKCTHCYST^%W* 15 PESOS!?!?!!! STUP^&SD B*L$H7!! What if a 70-year old grandma tries to ride during that time? Even the children-women coaches are jampacked. I doubt she can board the train within an hour, even 2 hours. So how do you expect people carrying delicate computer hardware to board those sardine-can-like environment?
THAT STUPID POLICY SHOULD ONLY APPLY DURING NON-PEAK HOURS YOU Mo&^%&r F^C#*R$. P15 is still P15. _|_
On July 24, 2006, AMD and ATI announced a plan to join forces, in a transaction that will combine AMD’s technology leadership in microprocessors with ATI’s strengths in graphics, chipsets and consumer electronics. The result is a processing powerhouse: a new competitor, better equipped to drive growth, innovation and choice for its customers in commercial and mobile computing segments and in rapidly-growing consumer electronics segments. The transaction, valued at US $5.4 billion, is expected to close in Q4 2006 subject to approval by ATI shareholders, court approval, regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.
SMS spams have now evolved. Gone are the days when the mobile spam you'll recieve came from your operators' special access numbers (2366, 2802, etc.). They now come in the form of normal text messages using normal numbers. Most of them seems to originate from an uber excited subscriber informing you of the "good" news.
Uy, lam mo b pwd kang manalo ng 5K araw2x! Makakakuha k rin ng mga downloads fr superman, hulk etc. Send mo lang marvel s 291. Mura lang cya,2.50.
Sender: 09104212398
My friend Glen wasn't only the victim of this SMS Spam. My co-forumers at BNC also recieved these spams. Some variants:
Uy! natry mo ba ang voicemail text? ang galing! dial *899 and the cellphone number, mura pa, try mo!
BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE!
Huy, Piso nalang ang MMS! Mura grabe para kalang ngtxt pero mas astig to kasi pwed k magsama ng picture sa txt mu! Galeng noh?Lahat toh piso lang!
AND STILL MOREE!!!
Huy, d ba smart ka? Nagtxt lng me ng E2 On sa 209, nakuha k Narda tpos may libreng 5 txt msgs pa! Astig ba? Try mo din, dali! Pls pass.
All of these SMS were recieved by SMART Telecom users. Lalaine's mom, who's on SMART, also recieves these kind of trash from time to time. If Smart sends SMS spams like these, Globe sends MMS spams. YES. Globe evolved from SMS to MMS!
What separates Globe from SMART is the way they send these ads. Globe sends their ads using special 3-4 digit numbers and places "MYGLOBE ADVISORY" at the start of their messages. SMART does it dirty. Camouflaging as "excited subcribers" and asking the recipients to pass the message.
So what's next for our mobile spams? Now that 3G and faster data speeds are being deployed, video MMS spams anyone?
After seeing Yuga's Photoblog Adsense earnings, I decided to revive it and give some "ump" to my photoblog's layout and adsense settings. Though I'm using blogger, let's see if I could match Yuga's $890+ photoblog adsense earnings. (asa..) :~)
Lee Dong Woo was at Wowowee this after noon! Woooooooooooo! Ang pogiiii!!!! ahahahahaaaay!!!!
.....
.. Anyway, my beautiful cousin (ubo! ubo!) Candice was here earlier and as usual, I lost my computer's "seat of power". So I ended up watching cheezy showbiz programs with my aunt and grandma... We got a free pizza from Pizza Hut since our pizza was 10mins late :D
After they left at around 7PM, Glen texted me that today was JACK TV's 8-hour WWE RAW Marathon!! &*DS^(&D^(*%@^#($(!!!!!! We both forgot. *sigh* I'm getting old.
I was chatting with Mike a while ago and asked me to join "There". Virtual tongue kissing... ye.
Its time to upgrade from boring chat rooms with faceless chatters to the world of There Philippines. Now you can chat with full-featured emoticons (smileys), express yourself, flirt and even kiss! Be part of the countries first and only online virtual gimmick!
If MyAyala.com was removed from Google because of keyword spamming, I wonder if Jollibee's website would follow. A post by a fellow BNC forumer, Richie, may suggest so. Visit Jollibee's page and press CTRL+A. There's a lot of hidden keyword spam at the bottom of the page:

Besides their clear violation of Google's Webmaster Guidelines, the keywords involved ARE disturbing. "Earthworm Hamburgers"?! WTF?! Further examination of their META tags reveal more EARTHWORMS!
WTF is wrong with Jollibee plastering Earthworms on their website?! Are they serving Earthworm Yum Burgers for the past 25 years? Try searching "Earthworm Hamburger" on Google. Jollibee shows up #1. Sure earthworms are sources of protein, but earthworms??!
Now Pamie will have more reasons to diss our food.
EDIT:
I found this site discussing the "earthworm hamburgers" of Jollibee...
When Lalaine and I decided to setup our own online store a year ago, the first problem we encountered was the payment system. Our main target customers are OFWs and foreigners with pinoy relatives. Local buyers were only our secondary targets. To resolve our payment system problems, I signed up for 2checkout so we could accept credit card and check payments. BUt as soon as I was already integrating 2checkout.com to our store, I realized that they don't allow prepaid phone cards to be sold and even money remittances. So back to the drawing boards for me. Then I decided to use PayPal. But the problem is, Philippines has been dropped from their list of allowed countries. Drats. Ok no problem, I would just asked my mom to open a bank account on my behalf so my 4 year old account would be verified. So it's all set. Paypal for foreign buyers and Yehey PayPlus for local buyers. Then boom! Yehey's PayPlus died. They just went kaput.
Now a few weeks ago, PayPal started acting strange. PayPal wont let me in on my account. PayPal keeps on asking me to change my password and even verify the credit card I'm using. The reason? PayPal has detected that my account is being accessed from the Philippines and they where just "concered" about my account. Ok fine. More problems.
Since our company's small and on a limited budget, we can't afford to buy personal payment gateways. They're expensive. PayPal is one solution. Sir J.Angelo has a proposal. If eBay brought eBay to the Philippines, why not PayPal? Small businesses like ours would greatly benefit from PayPal.
Let's fight for what is right! Support Jangelo's proposal! Bring PayPal back to the Philippines! Now Na! Ay. (whoever thought of that "now na" expression should be shot. fag.)
Finally, a group hug! Just download the latest Yahoo! Messenger to enjoy sending instant messages to your MSN friends. Useful for AMACU people... right Karlo? :D
EDIT: Aside from downloading the latest release of the instant messengers, you must also join the beta test on both networks to start sending messages across.
I finally got my Writely invite (thanks JPierre!) after countless online begging. But what is Writely? Writely is an web based web processor that was acquired by Google a few months back. With Writely, you can edit and publish documents online. You can upload HTML files and plain text (.txt), Microsoft Word (.doc), Rich Text (.rtf) and OpenOffice (.odt, .sxw). Downside is, you can only document files 500K below. You can also export your documents to PDF format. No need to buy Adobe Acrobat or add extra plugins to you Microsoft Word! You can even publish your blog directly from Writely! Now it's my time to share to goodies. Just post a comment with your email address, state where you found my blog and I will send you an invite. If you have a blog or website, I would appreciate a link back to my blog :)
Don't you know that you could play Atari, Nintendo, and SEGA classics on your series 60 mobile phones and the PSP? Instead of buying those cheap knock-offs, you could relieve all the classics you've played on your mobile phones or PSPs. All you need is an emulator and a ROM version of your game. You can purchase or download the trial versions of the emulators for Series 60 mobile phones here. As for the PSP emulator, you may try asking my friend Rocky. He owns the PSP pictured above.
You can search for ROMS on your favorite bitorrent search engines *wink* Always remember that you must OWN the original game before trying to emulate it. Just in case you're wondering if I really own a legit Super Mario World Cartridge, the picture below speaks for itself :)
ajaxWrite is a web-based word processor that can read and write Microsoft Word and other standard document formats. Anytime you need to open, read or write a word processor file, simply point your Firefox browser to www.ajaxwrite.com and in seconds a full-featured program will be available for you to open, edit, print and save.
Only downside is you cannot save or share your documents online unlike Google's Writely. You can save your documents on your computer though, and ajaxWRITE will only work for Firefox, sorry IE fanboys.
You can also check other AJAX applications developed by Ajax 13 here.
I was surprised to see that my site traffic increased this morning from 116 yesterday to 415 visits today! When I checked my incoming links, all came from Engadget! Engadget apparently picked my GameBoy Micro Look-a-like entry and included it in their "keepin' it real fake" series. Now only if they could actually see the number of knock-offs being sold at Quiapo. My GameBoy Micro entry is also the first blog entry that has been "digged". :)
My friend Glen just informed me that Hulk Hogan and Rowdy Piper are coming this September!
Steve O`neal presents BATTLE OF CHAMPIONS featuring
The Superstars of Wrestling
Hulk Hogan, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Iron Sheik, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Jimmy Superfly Snuka, Test, Billy Gun, King Kong Bundy
Venue: Cuneta Astrodome - Pasay City, Philippines
Date/Time: September 1, 2006 / 5:00 PM
Test? Billy Gun??? What the?! Anyway, the only possible way for me to see them live is through the General Admission tickets. Ticket prices are way too much for me. I will finally see Hulk Hogan's leather skin :-| :P
At first look, it looks like a GameBoy Micro, but it's not. It's called the One Station. A video game store in SM North EDSA's CyberZone has been selling these knock-offs at P1,999 each. The handheld is actually a portable Famicom/NES and uses a cartridge specially made for the game system. It's powered by 3 AAA batteries and can be plugged into a TV set, for a bigger game screen.
I was surprised to see that this unlicensed Nintendo product is also being sold inside SM North EDSA's newly opened SM HyperMarket... It's displayed inside this cabinet together with the PSP and Nintendo DS:
The One Station is priced higher in SM HyperMarket than the one inside SM CyberZone:
Just remembered a saying I read somewhere, "If you can build them, the Chinese can copy them". HAHAHAHA! These fakes all came from China, the same as those cheap ipod shuffle ripoffs being sold at TipidPC.com

Published on page A25 of the July 3, 2006 issue of the Philippine Daily Inquirer
IMAGINE THESE: wireless cameras and sensors installed in key streets in the metropolis to monitor and report traffic jams and flooded areas -- all in real time.
Microchips installed in buses and jeeps to easily monitor the number of public vehicles in particular routes compared to the volume of passengers.
Should plans push through -- depending on the budget of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority -- then these sophisticated technologies would soon find their way to streets in Metro Manila.
“We need technology to improve our services,” MMDA chair Bayani Fernando said yesterday in his weekly radio program over dzBB.
Digital city
Bayani said he got the idea from Taipei in Taiwan, where he had just attended a three-day conference with officials from other countries about creating “digital cities.” Taipei is considered one of the biggest Wi-Fi (Wireless fidelity) communities in the world.
The conference encouraged community leaders to take advantage of broadband-wireless technologies, like Wi-Fi, to enhance emergency responses, improve government service and lower telecommunication costs.
“I want to start the project in three to four months. I hope we can fully implement this before Christmas,” Fernando said in his program.
He told the Inquirer they would soon start talking with companies for the installation of Wi-Fi Networks in key streets in Metro Manila.
He said wireless connection would enable MMDA head offices and response units to quickly monitor -- using wireless cameras which will be installed in key areas -- traffic congestion and even flooding in key areas in the metropolis.
“We can even put sensors to monitor if our flood control pumping stations are functioning or not,” Fernando added.
Taking his vision further, Fernando said they could even put chips on public utility vehicles to boost the still shaky implementation of the Organized Bus Route System.
He said with the chips, the MMDA could monitor how many buses were passing through a certain access point, giving the agency the accurate volume of traffic in a given area.
“Using wireless cameras, we can see the volume of passengers, say in Cubao. Then, we can deploy more buses there,” the MMDA chair added.
More efficient setup
He said this communication setup would be “more efficient” for the agency, which is still troubled by huge phone bills.
Fernando admits the new project is starkly different from previous MMDA ideas, which had been frowned upon by many as backward, if not primitive, like the erection of concrete barriers and pink railings and even the use of pink cloth in controlling overstaying buses.
The MMDA official, however, could not yet say just how much funding his new idea would require. “We will have to check first how much these technologies cost,” he said in an interview after his radio show.

A guy named wrency posted this websitehere. Woot!!! Wrencelot is famous!! :) And because of that, I offer you this MTV. A very wrencelot-MTV. I also dedicate this MTV to wrencelot ;)
So you got yourself a spanking new 3G mobile phone and luckily, you're on the Smart Telecoms network. Now let's maximize them:
Goodbye SMS, Hello MMS! - When Smart introduced their 3G services, rates for their data services plunged down. You can now send pictures for the same price as an SMS! ONE PESO. To activate MMS, text SET to 211. Ex: SET N6600
Smart Voice Text - If you're a lazy ass, instead of typing an SMS, you can now send a voice message to any SMART subscribers. Smart calls this service as Smart VoiceText. Just Dial *899 + recipient's 11-digit cel number and record your message. Upto 30 seconds can be recorded. P2.50 per message sent and P1.00 for each retrieval Flat Rate - If you know you'll be exceeding a 1 minute call to a Smart subscriber but not necessarily exceding 3 mins, use Smart's Flat Call Rate. P10 will be deducted from your account for every 3 min call. But if your call reaches 5mins, P15 will be deducted. Just dial *883 plus the number of the party you're calling.
Mobile Internet Cafe - Whether you're on a 3G or GPRS connection, you can now browse the internet anytime and anywhere as long as there's a Smart signal. Internet browsing is now priced at P10 per 30 mins or P20 per 1 hour. The same price as renting on a PC shop. I've tested the Smart 3G connection using a Nokia 6630 phone as a modem to my laptop. My speed was clocked at 454Kbps! Faster than your ordinary wired DSL connection.
Extra Long Text Message - Don't you know that for P1, you could send a very long text message to anyone on the Smart network using an MMS capable phone? Create a Multimedia Message and instead of inserting a picture, type your message! Text messaging via MMS :P Just be sure that the reciepient uses an MMS capable phone.
Ironic. Giving Smart tips when I'm using a Globe Telecom account :P
I was checking out wrencelot's Online Toy Fair website and found out that he's promoting this site as another "web 2.0" site. And upon further browsing, I've learned that Online Toy Fair was built from scratch:
Founders note:
"www.OnlineToyFair.com started as a hobby site, primarily to promote the toy company I work for as an agent. This site is very dear to me for it pushes me to learn, to be more flexible and to be more creative. It makes me more competitive, and it made me realize I can do better. That same thinking I would like to promote for this site. This site might not be perfect; however, we are doing all our best to help you make your business, the toy industry specifically, to be more flexible, to be more creative, and to be more competitive. Hopefully, the toys we will all find thru the use of this site will help each and every one of us not to be better, but to be great.." – wrencelot
.history
* www.OnlineToyFair.com started its maiden voyage on December 19, 2005. * this website is made from scratch. Its webmaster knows nothing about web designing and web programming until the day this website is built. * this website is both experimental and a hobby. The main goal of this website is to connect to anyone who are all interested with toys. * this site is user-edited. So it's up to the people who would register here to make this site grow and be successful. * every single inch of this website is personalized based on what we feel the users would appreciate; every detail has given proper attention; hours are spent and there are sleepless nights just to make this site the best (we hope) outlet for your toy advertising needs. * this website is made in the Philippines and hosted in the US. * the 24 year old webmaster/founder have a day job as a Customer Service Rep which he really, really loves. * the webmaster is a proud Filipino.
So his other online web 2.0 was made from scratch? Hmmm... let's browse some more... Wait what's this?!
WOW! His websites' AJAX effects were just javascripts, and they're all... copied. I've checked Online Toy Fair and Hane.PH's source codes and they're almost the same. They both use the same java effects.
Wrencelot copied and pasted more than 95% of his websites' codes then he claims that they're the first blah blah blah yada yada web 2.0 websites. Moron.
