Delayed satellite image above of Typhoon Reming (Durian). A few hours and say goodbye to electricity, water, roofs, billboards, mobile phone signals, internet, etc. According to PAGASA, Reming is stronger that Typhoon Milenyo that struck Metro Manila a couple of months back. *Computer end log*
Finally, water is finally dripping on our faucets. For the first 30 minutes, its color was brown and it stinks. We've used every pail and bottle available to store as much water as we could since Maynilad has not made any efforts to place TV or radio advisories within the past 24 hours. So we're not sure when this weak-pressured water supply will last. They did place a useless ad on the newspapers today though.
Past 36 hours and we stilldon'thavewater!! Maynilad's hotline still dead, No water tankers rationing water in sight, no advisories, and my birthday is in 2 days... WOOHOOO!! I love the Philippines! Since the water we obtained earlier might not be safe for consumption, we decided to scour for water refilling stations. Ok. Stupid idea. Most of the refilling stations near our place are either closed or packed with thirsty people. Luckily, we found one along West Ave. (near my great grandma's place).
We were supposed to buy new 5 gallon bottles and refill our 2 old bottles but when the lady said, "Sir, P350 po.." OK FINE. Just refill our 2 bottles. :-|
Here are some pictures I took from Brgy. San Antonio QC, Brgy. Del Monte, and Brgy. Paltok:
Karlo and I are currently having a YM conversation and they have water.... US!!? HOW ABOUT US?!?!?!!!!!!!
karlo: BWAHAHHAH karlo: maytubig na kame jepoy: HAHAHA jepoy: ANDAYA karlo: kakatapos lang ng news karlo: biglang may tubig jepoy: BOO!
And the storystillcontinues! No word on when we will have our water supply back and Maynilad's Hotline seems to got roasted with all of the angry calls. All I get is a busy tone or the dreaded, "Sorry, all circuits are busy now, please try your call later..." Good thing we were able to get 2 drums of water from Project 8. No way to call Maynilad... No water tankers... No clear advisories... NO WATER.
But Maynilad finally posted info-ads on newspapers today but still no concrete answers on when will we get our regular water supply back. Still cannot contact their 1626 hotline. Their ad tells customers how to conserve water... HOW THE HELL CAN WE CONSERVE WATER IF THEIR IS NO F^x756 WATER DRIPPING ON OUR FAUCETS?!
How come the service areas of Manila Water have enough supply while Maynilad's areas don't? And as far as I know, Manila Water customers seldom (or never) experience water service interruptions. Only if we have the option to choose what service to pick, I would request Manila Water to lay their water pipes to our place. Anybody knows other Maynilad hotlines beside 1626 and 436-2000 so we could request for water tankers? I haven't seen any tankers they promised that will deliver water. Sucks.
...These include cutting service in 24-hour-service areas to 16 hours; 16-hour areas to 12 hours; 12-hour areas to 6 hours; and 6-hour areas to 3 hours.
Our place should have had water supply for the past 16 hours since we're on the 24-hour service area of Maynilad... but nada! Not a single drop! Maynilad should have at least given its customers some advisory via radio or TV since it's being run by the same people who owns media giant ABS-CBN. ^&%DS*&
And to the stupid bozos who decided to cut water without any warning, Tamaan sana kayo ng kidlat!
Maynilad Water Services customers are now waterless. That's about 600,000 households from Quezon City, Manila, Valenzuela, etc... Bad thing about this is that no one posted advisories on newspapers or even radios about this water cut-off. A Smelly Christmas is coming...
the jollibee malicious video is violating copyrights law..the mascots are registerd not only in the philippines but also in other countries..some of the culprits behind this have been identified. Necessary legal actions are now being taken
I suggest you delete this video..
thanks.
Copyright violations? Then maybe she should message each and everyone on this list to remove or delete their videos on YouTube since the Jollibee Mascots are copyrighted material. Moralists. Tsss.
After all those TV interviews and denials that her Ginebra Calendar pictures are unedited, a new batch of pictures have been circulating the internet. Pictures of Angelica Panganiban on the calendar and in the fitting room. Notice the fats? There are other pictures here and even a see through version here. Reminds me of Ara Mina's FHM Photos last year.
ABS-CBN, as usual, showed a great deal of airtime compared to the actual Pacquiao - Morales fight. But thanks to some guys subscribed to HBO PPV, I was able to watch the Manny Pacquiao vs Eric Morales fight --LIVE. I've watched the video on a Yahoo! Messenger Webcam broadcast and listened to the live commentary from another HBO PPV subscriber broadcasting the match live via stickcam.com. The picture above shows that the Pacquiao-Morales fight is already over while ABS-CBN is still broadcasting an earlier match. Good thing Boy Bawang's to the rescue...
...when I installed Windows Vista RC1 on my recently revived desktop while waiting for the commercials to stop
TV is DEAD. But my blog is alive.. 200 unique visits from 11am to 2pm. Hahahaha!
Watch the LIVE HBO PPV Feed of Manny Pacquiao vs Eric Morales III by visiting this link. Video and audio is choppy. Luckily someone is broadcasting a video over Yahoo Messenger from Philboxing forum. :~)
GMail's Mobile Application is finally here. Hooray! :-| I'm using a Globe Prepaid account and most of the internet applications for Symbian phones I've tried didn't work on Globe's Prepaid APN. Hmmm.. Let's see.. Yahoo! Go wont work, Agile Messenger won't work, Windows Live Mail won't work. These applications do work if you're on a Globe Postpaid account and using the Globe Postpaid APN. My cousin already tried Agile Messenger and we were able to exchange a few messages while he was in Glorietta. Will Gmail work this time? Let's see... Being cautious as per my experience on previous Globe GPRS charges, I've checked my balance before proceeding to Gmail Mobile's download page.
I have P501.02 and now let's go to gmail.com/app using my Nokia 6600's built in wap browser to download the application. This error message displayed:
Woops! Gmail Mobile can't be installed on my Nokia 6600?? How come other "low-end" Sony Ericsson phones can install them? I immediately checked my prepaid credits to see if how much Globe has scammed charged me.
From P501.02, my credits are now at P500.09. Globe charged me P0.93 for that error message?! For what the claim, they charge P0.15/KB. The P0.93 they charged me is already equivalent to a 6KB file. That page doesn't even look it would exceed 2KB in size. Anyway, I'm still persistent to be robbed, i mean to download Gmail's mobile Application so I tried to use my Opera browser to download the application.
Coolness! It worked!
After downloading and installing the application, I checked my credits again. From P500.09, it's now at P482.59. I was charged P17.50 for that download. Well, that's equivalent to a 116KB file. Pretty close since the Gmail Java installer is 112KB. Now it's time to loose more prepaid credits test the Gmail Mobile App if it will work on Globe's Prepaid APN.
OKAY. As expected. It won't work for Globe Prepaid Subscribers. I'm stucked at the Gmail's Loading screen. I've wasted almost P20 for nothing. I've tried it on Smart Prepaid and it worked. Globe whyy??!!!!! Why do you discriminate your loyal prepaid users and refuse to open our prepaid APN to the wonders of mobile internet??? Whyyy???? And why do still charge per KB when Smart offers a really good deal? Whyyyy!!?!!!! I wonder how much could Globe have charged me if I were to use it's 3G service for a 10minute Skype-Landline call....
For those who want to try Gmail, you can download the java installer here.

I'm blogging right now in the middle of Himlayang Pilipino on my HP Pavilion dv4000 laptop plus my father's Nokia 6630 as a modem for Smart 3G... coooolness! Too bad my Smart SIM expired so I had to buy a new SIM. My GPRS was activated within 10 minutes and now I'm blogging! The picture above is my grandma talking to my mom on Skype (TECHIE LOLA!!!). Call quality is comparable to a 56K dialup connection. Seems that my connection is only maxed at 115Kbps and results from Bayantel's Speed test yields: Your download speed is: 54.62 kbps Am I connected via GPRS and not 3G? Hmmm..
Right now, I'm also chatting with Karlo via Yahoo! Messenger and I also sent a Gtalk message to Sir JAngelo. Anyway, I'll try to use and test other apps later as my grandma's Skype call is being affected by the things I'm doing.
