Went to Bohol with Lalaine via Cebu Pacific's P1 ticket promo.
My lola lost her balance and her head almost hit the floor last September 29, the day I arrived from Bohol and also the day the jeep I'm riding on got hold-upped.
Got hold of a recorded conversation between a PLDT DSL Subscriber and a PLDT DSL CSR.
What's the first thing that comes to your mind when you see the blurry picture above? Sailor Moon. Right? RIIIIGHHT. GMA-7 has been showing teasers of 3 of their upcoming telenovelas for 2007 for a few days now and only today I was able to capture a screeshot of our TV. One of them is Super Twins, featuring Nadine Samonte and Jennylyn Mercado on an uber copycat of Sailor Moon's costumes. Umm maybe not too much. They did give em rip-off costumes some cape. :-|
Another is Asian Adventures with Robin Padilla and Angel Locsin who looks and acts like Indiana Jones and Lara Croft respectively. Last is Lupin which may not be considered as a rip-off since GMA-7 might bought the license of the franchise.
BUT SUPER TWINS?!! WTF were they thinking? Here's the blurry video I took of the commercial. Even though the video is blurred, you might think the video is from Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon's Live Action trailer. If they didn't bought the Sailor Moon license, they're damned copycats. I don't remember seeing Sailor Moon fly. :-|
If you want the complete set of PGSM live action, I could burn you a fan-sub. Just give me blank DVDs :)
Here I am again, Jepoy Teh Oracle, to predict what will happen for the year 2007. As some of you don't know, I've already made my first batch of prediction for 2006. Here's some flashback:
For the year 2006, there will be earthquakes, typhoons, big waves, volcanic eruptions, and other obvious natural calamities. Popular politicians and celebrities will die. A plane will crash and a boat will sink so group yourselves into... err... anyway, pirated DVDs will continue to proliferate, your neighbors will continue to annoy you, and a lot more...
If you want a more detailed prediction, please buy my newest magazine, the 2006 Predictions. Or if you've already bought a 2005 Prediction magazine, just change the year to 2006 and you'll be fine...
Let's see.
- Earthquakes? Check.
- Typhoons? Check.
- Big waves? Check.
- Volcanic Eruptions? Check.
- Other Natural Calamities? Check.
- Politicians and Celebrities dead? Check.
- Plane Crash? Check.
- Sunken Boats? Check.
- Pirated DVDs? OH HELL YEAH!
- Annoying Neighbors? Check.
Damn I'm gooood. Now, change the year I made to those predictions from 2006 to 2007 and lemme add some more for the year 2007:
Since it will be election season, there will be election related violence and massive cheating.
More Filipino idiots will be online, and would be jumping into international message boards showing how stupid they aer, dragging us with them.
GMA-7 will continue to feed its viewers with rip-off shows and telenovelas. No, the rip-off won't stop at Captain Barbell.
Metro Manila's air, water, land pollution will continue to rise. Blame stupid Filipinos who whine and whine night and day.
Speaking of whiners, these whiners will be the major driving force for the establishment of a new sector. -- Pro-Rallying. Yes, if 2006 was the year for pro-bloggers, 2007 will be the year for pro-rallyists. Give them P100 and they'll rally wherever, whenever you want!
Politicians will get richer and richer while the poor will become poorer and poorer.
And the poorest of the poor will contribute largely to the continued growth of our population due to the fact that they have way tooo much time on their hands for their favorite pastime *bleeep* We should consider to export these whiners as human slaves to other countries. We'll definitely earn a lot since our country will have less useless whiners around.
Video scandals on phones will continue to increase and the quality will improve with the introduction of newer and better camera phones.
More Filipino artist will confess that they are ghey.
Filipino priests will continue to interfere with politics and claim to fight for the poor, while ignoring the beggars loitering around their churches.
PLDT will never ran out of ideas to squeeze moolah from its subscribers. They might even charge you for every "ring" your phone makes.
Enteng Kabisote would make another comeback on December 25th 2007 for Enteng Kabisote 4 and Hero Angeles will be celebrating Christmas 2007 with a bowl of champorado.
When I first saw that trailer above 6 years ago, I was with the audience on cheering Nintendo when I saw Samus appeared in glorious 3D, Luigi's first big adventure, Link and Ganon battling on a setting inspired by the classic Ocarina of Time... memories... good memories that failed to materialize as I opted not to buy a GameCube. But now, things will change. Glen's GameCube has landed!
Now time to reclaim my lost time with the GameCube. Now, where do I start? Hmm.. Zelda :~) Thanks Glen for the discount! :)
My connection totally died the other day. I cannot open even my Destiny's email account. So far, connection to international sites have resumed 1 hour ago and all connections on my IP block have been rerouted to Globe Telecom's backup lines. Speaking of Globe, they've also sent out advisories regarding the difficulty of sending international texts and calling international numbers:
Globe/Innove Advisory: You may experience difficulty making outgoing IDD cakksm sending international text, roaming in some countries, and accessing internet via your mobile phone. This is related to the damage caused by the Taiwan earthquake last December26 on international cables affecting all telcos. Network restoration is currently ongoing. We assure you that service will be made available the soonest possible time. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Advisory from Solid Broadband Corp., owners of Destiny Cable Internet:
Date: Wednesday, December 27 2006 03:48 pm From: MyDestiny Advisory To: jepoy Subject: Internet Breakdown
To Our Most Valued Subscriber,
Please be informed that as of 10:00AM today December 27, 2006, different IPL Links experienced multiple submarine cable breakdowns due to an earthquake in Taiwan which resulted to temporarily loss of Internet connection. However we can still access the locally hosted sites.
We are very sorry for the inconvenience, we will for sure keep you posted for the update as to when the connection will be restored.
Thank you very much.
Sincerely Yours,
Mydestiny Broadband Internet
Why do Bayantel and PLDT subscribers can now browse international websites while Destiny subscribers can't? I can't open my emails JAIDAO&*%D^%E( ^%@#@)%#)@%O*DSF!!!
Please go to my personal blog at VOX as that's the only site I could open with my Destiny account. Hah! What a way to launch my new blog.
Now this explains why I get 4.71Mbps on BayanTel's speedtest but cannot browse any websites:
Taiwan quake damages RP Internet links By Erwin Oliva INQUIRER.net Last updated 01:03pm (Mla time) 12/27/2006
THE 7.1 magnitude earthquake that struck Taiwan early Wednesday damaged the Philippines’ links to the Internet, telecommunications executives have said.
BayanTel spokesman John Rojo confirmed this and said he was not sure when normal services would resume.
In a separate interview, Wilson Chua, Internet Service Provider owner, said that there was “massive damage” in the international links.
Chua said his connection to at least four major telecommunications firms -- Globe Telecommunications, BayanTel, Digitel, and the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co. -- had been down since this morning.
PLDT officials could not be reached for comment as of posting time.
At least three Internet cafes in Manila visited by INQUIRER.net had been closed due to the service interruptions.
A magnitude 7.1 earthquake struck the southern Taiwanese town of Hengchun Wednesday, killing two and triggering a regional tsunami alert.
SINGAPORE (Reuters) -- Telecommunications around Asia were severely disrupted on Wednesday after earthquakes off Taiwan damaged undersea cables, slowing Internet services and hindering financial transactions, particularly in the currency market.
Banks and businesses across the region reported problems with communications, with some telephone lines cut and Internet access slowing to a crawl.
South Korea's top fixed-line and broadband service provider, KT Corp, said in a statement that six submarine cables were knocked out by Tuesday night's earthquakes.
"Twenty-seven of our customers were hit, including banks and churches," a KT spokesman said. "It is not known yet when we can fully restore the services."
Banks in Seoul said foreign exchange trading had been affected.
"Trading of the Korean won has mostly halted due to the communication problem," said a dealer at one domestic bank.
Some disruption was also reported in the important Tokyo currency market but the EBS system that handles much dollar/yen trading appeared to be working.
Global information company Reuters Group Plc said all users of its services in Japan and South Korea had been affected.
One Tokyo foreign exchange trader said: "There are many currencies in which market-making is being conducted via Reuters and such currencies such as the Australian dollar and the British pound are in a very tenuous situation now." State secret
In China, trading in currencies and copper appeared to be normal and both the Shanghai stock market and money market were working.
But China Telecommunications Group, the country's biggest fixed-line telephone operator and parent of China Telecom Corp., said the earthquakes had affected lines "from the Chinese mainland to places including the Taiwan area, the United States and Europe, and many have been cut".
"Internet connections have been seriously affected, and phone links and dedicated business lines have also been affected to some degree," it said.
Officials declined to give further details. "Undersea communications cables fall in the area of state secrets," said a ministry of communications official in Beijing.
The main quake, measured by Taiwan's Central Weather Bureau at magnitude 6.7 and at magnitude 7.1 by the U.S. Geological Survey, struck off Taiwan's southern coast at 1226 GMT on Tuesday. Two people were killed.
Taiwan's Chunghwa Telecom said two of four major undersea cables out of Taiwan had been affected. Voice circuits had been reduced to 40 per cent of capacity to the United States and just 2 per cent to most parts of Southeast Asia.
KDDI Corp., Japan's second-largest telecoms company, said communications along submarine cables out of Japan went through Taiwan before reaching Southeast Asian countries, which was leading to disruption.
But it said communications were unlikely to break down completely since there were alternative lines.
PCCW, Hong Kong's main fixed-line telecoms provider, said several undersea cables it part-owned had been damaged. "Data transfer is down by half," a spokeswoman said.
Both Singapore Telecommunications (SingTel), Southeast Asia's top phone company, and local rival StarHub Ltd., said customers were suffering slow access to Internet pages.
But SingTel said traffic was being diverted and repair work was in progress, adding: "Our submarine cables linking to Europe and the U.S. are not affected."
Maybe you've already seen that picture on a poster somewhere with the warning, "Bawal ang nakasimangot dito". If you want to learn how do it, and I'm sure you don't wanna learn, here's some visual guide to help you:
Glen showed me a site where a guy was auctioning his PlayStation 3 on eBay for US$1! The first auction already ended and the next is yet to be announced. One requirement to be able to participate on the auction is to be included in Santa's good list by writing him a letter and telling him how good you have been. There's nothing to lose, so here's my letter to Santa:
Dear Santa,
You know what, I've been living for 24 years now and all I got from you was a bootleg copy of Tiger Heli, a game for the Nintendo Famicom (NES). I don't know what I have done to you but as far as I know, I've been a good boy and now a good young man. The only bad guy I know is you. Ignoring my wishlist every Christmas and giving me a bootleg copy of a game. Hmp!
I live in the Philippines and I know the pain you have to endure every year to deliver the presents. The air pollution, the uber long traffic queue on the streets, the firecrackers that are aimed aimlessly up in the sky barely hitting Rudolf's nose, etc. But it doesn't excuse you for not delivering my gifts every 24th of December.
Maybe it's now the time to give me the gift I deserve or else, I will kill the kittens of my neighbor. Umm.. Ok. Just kidding. If you need to get your hands on other PS3s, my godfather is selling some at their store but it's priced at PHP53,000 (US$1070+ est). Here's the ad I posted on my blog: click You see Santa, I'm good. I'm helping my godfather sell their PS3s.
So Santa, please tell On Ouchs to allow me to buy his next PS3 auction on eBay for $1. If you don't you'll have to get me a Wii and a PS3 before the month ends or I'm gonna tell the cops that you gave me a bootleg copy of a Nintendo game a few years back. Think of the other children Santa if you get jailed... think. :~)
Yours,
Jepoy eBay UserID: mypapani
Above is On Ouchs together with his PlayStation 3, extra controller, and 2 PS3 games. So kids, get your pens and start writing a letter for Santa! Christmas is just 3 days away. :~)
A new free blog service created by Pinoys has been soft-launched a few days ago. It's called MyJournal Philippines and it's like the free wordpress.com blogs but with plugins installed and maybe a future Adsense compatibility. The site loads slow though.
About MyJournal
MyJournal Philippines is the brain-child of Carlo and Will, two bloggers who got fed up with the free blog services and its limited features. Deciding to take matters into their own hands, they first created their own websites. They then decided to offer free blog hosting as they realized that if they felt limited with free blog hosts, then a lot of people might be feeling the same way.
Features are limited as of this writing, but the major project of this free service is to monetize the sites and share the revenues to all its members in the (hopefully, very near) future.
Feedback, comments and suggestions are taken into consideration to further improve the service. These valuable input from all users will hopefully shape MyJournal into what it aims to be. A free blog for bloggers, BY bloggers.
Why is it that if something nasty has been spread over the internet, our kababayanswill react and even start an online petition against someone that would even reach the newspapers, but if something scandalous has been showed on national TV, no fuzz? As if nothing happened. Why?
Take for example the video above of Bubble Gang. That video is no different from the Jollibee and Twirlie Scandal. I don't know when that clip was televised but I haven't heard any protest from our moralist-friends. Have you? That clip was exposed to more than double the amount of kids that may have seen the Jollibee clip since it was shown on national TV. But these moralists were no where to be found :~) They're much worried on the things that their kids might see on the internet than on TV. But isn't it easier to open a TV than browse the internet? All you need is a TV remote and your kids will be exposed to anything. Again, look at the Bubble Gang clip.
Didn't it ever occured to these moralists that a child might just interpret the Jollibee Scandal video as 2 dogs doin' it considering the maturity stage they're at?
I just find it stupid for parents to blame others for their lack of responsibility and start blabbing about 2 mascots on the internet while being quiet on the REAL dangers and the "taglish" way of TV. Pweh.
The Nintendo Wiis have all been sold. Talk about rich kids. Anyway, INFOMAX SM Megamall is now selling Japanese versions of the PlayStation 3 60GB for P53,000. Price is also negotiable.
Again, look for my ninong, Mr. Mike Vedua, and tell him you saw the info here on Jepoy's website so he could give you some discounts. If he's not available, just tell whoever's in the store that you saw the info on Jepoy's website for some discount :)
Stocks are also low on this item. If you want a PS3 this Christmas, this is your chance to grabe this hard to find next-gen console.
Fans and people who grew up watching the Transformers on TV might be disappointed with some of the changes made to the movie. One of which is the sound that the transformers make whenever they transform. You know what I mean :D
And what's the deal with Megatron? Why made him look like a mutated sewer rat? Where's the nostalgic feel from that?
That ain't Megatron.. HMP!
At least we're getting Peter Cullen to voice Optimus Prime again. :)
Maybe Dreamworks might consider Kuya Bodjie to voice Bumble Bee in the movie
Wrencelot's not the only one who's entitled to call anything "web 2.0". I decided to activate one of Google Apps' services for my school organization and here's the result. Above is my futile attempt to create a "Web 2.0" logo for AMA microsystems. BTW, looks like wrencelot starting a new business blog ;)) Whatever happened to hane.ph's internet supremacy? :~)
Pauleen Luna is the latest teen star to pose for a men's magazine (UNO). Are her pictures showered with Photoshop magic? Hmm... (Read more at Pinoy ShowBUZZ)
ABS-CBN dig another grave (an online grave) for filing DCMA (Digital Copyright Millennium Act) complaints against YouTube. Every videos taken from ABS-CBN will or have been taken off YouTube. That also translates to FREE advertisement internet style. What's the use of blogging if you restrict your viewers from interacting?
Wake up ABS-CBN! This isn't the 80s anymore. Via Pinoy Rickey
As of December 17, 2006 11:43PM, PAGASA states that there are no tropical cyclones threatening or affecting the Philippines. But isn't this a threat?
I'm no weather expert but it looks like it's headed this way, whether its eye or tail end. I could be wrong but I'm sure they'll definitely use these images again :~)
My second Adsense check!! yay! I received my first one last September but only decided to deposit it the other day. And now, new Google moolah! Too bad I have to wait for 25 days to be able to withdraw the amount.
Can't wait next year for Nintendo Wii stocks to arrive? Then head to INFOMAX at SM MEGAMALL! My ninong just informed me that they're selling Japanese versions of the Nintendo Wii console for P27,000 (price negotiable). That's P3,000 cheaper than Toy Kingdom's price.
Please be reminded that the stocks are very limited so if you've got the moolah to burn, head over to Infomax SM Megamall ASAP and look for my ninong, Mr. Mike Vedua. Tell him you read the info on Jepoy's website. I'm sure they'll give you discounts ;) Me? I'll just settle for Glen's GameCube this Christmas :~)
When Nintendo unveiled their Wii controller last September, I was one of the Nintendo fanboys who said, "WTF?!". Most thought that Nintendo was crazy and might follow SEGA's path and just develop video games for Sony and Microsoft. Sure that impression was premature and there were no REAL available games during that time. But now that the sales figures are in, our old thoughts should be buried and forgotten as Nintendo might get their #1 spot in video games anytime soon.
And it's nice to celebrate this victory with a fan-made video above. It could have been sweeter if the video is in English.
Leave it to the Chinese to pirate everything, even Japanese Porn actresses. A recent meeting of health officials of different countries held in China welcomed everyone with a poster featuring a cute nurse. The poster reads something like "The nurse angel, Serve healthy job..."
Turned out that the "nurse" in the poster is actually a Japanese AV star snatched by some Chinese guy over the internet. Above is the same photo revealing her umm...
So when Chinese officials learned about the source of the photo, the poster was ordered to be removed immediately.
For the past few weeks, I've been searching for forums and auctions sites for an original Japanese Famicom. You know, the red computer we've grown to play with. I dunno whats gotten into me lately that I've started looking for everything retro- Nintendo. I even thought of jumping on the pro-blogging wagon. Too bad the position has already been filled when I applied. Sob. :~( Anyway, I've already asked my very beautifulcousin if she could give me her Super NES. I already own a Japanese versiom, the Super Famicom.
Microwarehouse is having once again its yearly inventory sale this week. From December 14 - 16 2006, you can buy gadgets and accessories of Apple, HP, Linksys, etc. for upto 80% less. What caught my attention is the price tag of their Class B (demo/opened units) Mac Minis. For as low as P12,200, you can buy a 512MB 1.2GHZ Mac Mini Combo!
You may download the complete pricelist here. *Computer end log*
No, not the type of help that our countrymen need ASAP after they were hit by 3 super typhoons for the past 2 months. Instead, Novaliches Bishop Antonio Tobias asked the Philippine Military to intervene on this charter change or whatever stupid names they call it issue.
Strange. I didn't hear him call for help during Super Typhoons Durian and Milenyo. Instead of criticizing the gov't, why not educate the people to practice safe sex and family planning as to help reduce our already 85 million population and extremely high poverty rate? This isn't the ice age or something that we need to "multiply". Genesis 9:7 "As for you, be fruitful and increase in number; multiply on the earth and increase upon it."
More than a year ago, my grandma asked me what would I like as a gift for my graduation. I've immediately said, "ma, Nintendo GameCube". And she did buy a GameCube... An Incredibles Game for the GameCube. Nice. I haven't opened the game since I was hoping to sell it here. But I didn't stand a chance with the P500+ bootlegged copies on SM Malls so I decided to keep the darn thing.
But my Incredibles GCN game will soon be in company with Resident Evil 0 1 and Super Smash Bros Melee and 5 other Nintendo GameCube games as I'll be getting Glen's GameCube. Can't wait for Zelda: Twilight Princess. :~)
Whew! I haven't said that for a very long time, feels goooood actually. Useless text hotline. A supposedly 20mins callback time took 2 hours just to tell me that they have a network problem that's why everything is slow and their engineers are already working on it. They don't even know how long this problem would last. #$&***!!@>_< I can't open my email...
DESTINY SUCKS!
UPDATE: Looks like it's old school Destiny reasoning again. They're blaming their direct link with Globe Telecom (according to Karlo). For Destiny old-timers like me, that's also the same as an IPL problem. Tama ba Karlo?
Globe Telecom has introduced a new mobile application called IMEVRYWHR. It lets subscribers of Globe Telecom to exchange text, images, and even voice messages to other Globe subscribers who are using the IMEVRYWHR client via a GPRS or 3G connection. I thought these kinds of chain-letters only exists on TV shows like Imbestigador or Magandang Gabi Bayan... But apparently, our baranggay wasn't spared from these letters. We've received 2 letters today. The first one is requesting its recipients to make copies and give them to anyone: CLICK TO ENLARGE
So our new National Hero is now this guy named Romeo Acebedo? I thought it was Manny Pacquiao... err.. Jose Rizal? :~) And what's the deal with mangkukulams and his supposedly relation to the Vizconde massacre?
A few hours and we've received another letter. This time, telling us to tear the chain letters. Ano ba talaga?
Is this really how mentally deranged some of our countrymen are? Calling this Romeo Acebedo our National Hero to promote his political campaign in 2004 and associating himself to supernaturals and whatever hallucinations he got by drinking a lot of his own urine. And why release this old letter again? Gearing up again for the next elections? Maybe he should consider shifting his interests into stealing and selling street lamp posts or start his own music career like this one:
Pinoy Tech Blog has opened their gates again for readers to contribute, and luckily, the first article I submitted has been approved. I you want to contribute to Pinoy Tech Blog, post your intent here and wait for your master yuga's reply.
Now this might explain how "accurate" PAGASA predicted the path of Super Typhoon Durian. They're using satellite images from National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration and are available to ANYONE who has internet access(Click to view satellite loop). And they're using a super sophisticated software to display the images -- Microsoft Internet Explorer plus Yahoo! Toolbar. Woohooo!
Don't we have our own weather satellites? Damn we're poor.
This is the season to be jolly and spread the love and warmth of Christmas, so what better way to do this is to send a text / SMS message to your loved ones in the United States. But international texts don't come cheap. A single 160 character message to international users costs about P10 - P15. So you P300 prepaid credits would only convert to 20-30 messages. What if you could send as many messages as you want for just P1 or even FREE? What most of us don't know, US-based mobile operators like Cingular and T-Mobile have an email address attached to their mobile numbers. Each email received on their mobile email address is immediately diverted to the subscriber's phone as a text or SMS message. All you have to do is send an email to their phones and presto! The following are the email domains by each provider in the USA:
Virgin Mobile USA [10-digit phone number]@vmobl.com Example: 4251234567@vmobl.com
Now how do I send emails using my mobile phones?
Globe Telecoms Subscribers - you can use GlobeXTM, MMS, or a direct textmail to access number 2300. But Globe subscribers might be in bad luck since GlobeXTM is EXTREMELY unreliable and most of the time inaccessible and I don't know if their textmail service is still working. You'll be left with the P5.00 MMS method.
GLOBE XTM - P1.00 per message Your mobile phone must be at least GPRS capable to access GlobeXTM. Each message sent costs P1 to any Globe subscriber or email address. To activate, just browse the myGlobe WAPsite and click Services. Follow the instructions on the succeeding pages and you'll be sending P1.00 international texts in no time.
GLOBE MMS - P5.00 per message Globe MMS is also capable of sending MMS messages to an email address. But each message costs P5. Not bad compared to a P15 international SMS right? Again, your handset must be MMS capable to send an MMS. To activate, just send GO {handset model} to 2951 and save the settings. Once the settings have been saved and activated, compose a new Multimedia Message and enter the email address of the recipient(10-digit mobile number+service provider domain). Limit your text to at least 400 characters then send.
GLOBE TEXTMAIL - P2.50 per message I don't know if this still works. Last time I've tried this was in December 2000. Compose an SMS using the following format: email address{space}(subject){space}message and send to 2300. Try to send a test email to yourself first.
SMART Subscribers - REJOICE!! Smart MMS is only P2.00 per message sent to any email address. They also have 2 other textmails working perfectly. Buddymail (powered by Chikka) and Smart TextMail.
SMART MMS - P2.00 per message Activate your MMS by sending MMS{space}ON to 333. Wait for the confirmation message and you're ready to send international MMS to T-Mobile and Cingular subscribers for just P2.00. Same routine as Globe MMS, compose a new Multimedia Message and enter the 10-digit mobile number and domain of the provider. (@tmomail.net for T-Mobile and @cingularme.com for Cingular subscribers).
SMART BUDDY MAIL - P2.50 per message To activate, send REGISTER to 409 and follow the instructions and the messages you'll receive. Registration is FREE. To create new email: Text TO{space}email address{space}message to 409. You can also check your Buddy Mail via their web facility. Click here
SMART TEXTMAIL - P2.50 per message Registration is optional. To send a message, type in email address{space}(subject){space}you message and send to 200.
SMART INTERNATIONAL BUDGET TEXT - P0.70 - P1.00 This is not related to email but Smart Communications is currently offering a promo to all its Smart Buddy subscribers. Just send ITEXT {package type} {party's number} to 4090
Package A - P20 Good for 1 day with 20 texts or P1.00/text Package B - P55 Good for 3 days with 60 texts or P0.90/text Package C - P90 Good for 5 days with 110 texts or P0.80/text Package D - P125 Good for 7 days with 170 texts or P0.70/text
SUN Cellular Subscribers - Bad luck. I don't know any TextMail service they're currently offering.
But since US mobile subscribers are gifted with mobile email addresses, you could always use your own email address and send messages for FREE! Gmail or other ISP provided emails are recommended than using Yahoo or Hotmail. Yahoo, Hotmail, and other free email providers tend to insert ads at the end of every message you send. You don't want those kind of trash to be included in your text right?
Special thanks to Salve-san for participating in my T-Mobile experiment :~)
Simply the best classical music I love. Featured in the Korean movies "The Classic" and "My Sassy Girl", here are some of the versions available on YouTube:
All next-generation video game consoles are out and stateside people are either rioting or shooting each other just to get their hands on those gaming systems. If these systems are to be released 7 years ago, I would have camped out of Target just to get a Nintendo Wii and even a PlayStation 3. But there were lessons learned on my Nintendo 64 and PlayStation 2. Being an early adopter is not good. Nintendo 64
Super Mario in 3D! Seeing the first screen shots of Super Mario in 3D have caused countless drool drops on my magazines so when the system actually launched, I bought it right away. Mario 3D. Period. A few months later, more games became available and only then I've realized that the game cartridges were priced way higher than its Sony Playstation and Sega Saturn counterparts. Each game cartridge were priced at Php4,000 to Php6,000 each! Since then, I was only able to purchase three games for the system. Super Mario 64, Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire, and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Three. Imagine that? THREE!
PlayStation 2
PlayStation 2 was released on a SRP of $299.99 in the USA, and since the gamer inside me can't wait, I bought a PlayStation 2 for Php 29,000+ !! That's about $590+ or almost the same price of a premium bundle PlayStation 3! An original copy of Devil May Cry was included in the package but no memory card. Php 29,000 HAGSYUASUIRA&I%*#@9&*^(% Since then, I've bought about 5 original PS2 games and 20+.. ehem... games :~)
Yes, being an early adopter can help boost your pogi points for being the first loser owner of a shiny new PlayStation 3 in your neighborhood. But since these systems have just launched, only a few games are currently available. So you might be staring at an uber expensive gaming system while you wait for developers to finish their games. The Nintendo Wii launch had mii me drooling again. I've been watching all Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess trailers available and was close on ordering Wii online. But common sense popped. I could play Twilight Princess on a GameCube in December. So instead of buying overpriced Nintendo Wiis on eBay, I've forged a deal with my friend Glen and agreed to buy his Nintendo GameCube for Php 6,500. Not bad since he'll throw in 7 original games and an official Nintendo bag plus an additional controller and memory card.
You see, waiting is good. I've waited too long for a GameCube, and it was worth the wait. Now time to wait for another 5-6years for a PS3 and Wii :~)

My blog now sports a 3 column layout. It took a while since I was thinking of upgrading the site resolution to 1024x768, considered now as a standard by most. But still, there are a lot of people using the 800x600 resolution so I decided to work on a layout that would fit 3 columns. Well, here's the result. Say goodbye to long sidebars on item permalinks. :~)
