Captain's Log Supplemental Stardate -316070.97

When I bought Glen's Nintendo GameCube last December, it can't read "other" games. I had it modified at EYO last January 2 and still didn't solved the "problem". I've tried cleaning the lens, but still, the cube cannot read some of my "games". Then I chanced upon a site that suggests to adjust my GameCube lens' potentiometer.
With the help of my father, we (I mean he) started to disassemble my poor GameCube last week.

Here's the potentiometer (image from Mod That Cube), it's a very small knob that adjusts the intensity of the GameCube's laser beam. So my college digital multi-meter finally had its use. I used it to measure the resistance of the knob and it was clocked at 609 ohms, way way higher than the recommended range of 170 ohms - 210 ohms.

After a few tweaks, we've finally got some of the "games" my GameCube won't read to work. Rocky and I have been playing The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess for 23 hours and we're not even halfway!
So if I'm not posting regularly, you know what I'm doing :~)
