After ripping-off Sailor Moon's costume with their Super Twins, GMA-7 is now gonna create a remake of Shaider.

Shaider, or Uchuu Keiji Shaider (English translation: Space Sheriff Shaider), is a Japanese live action series that originally ran in Asahi TV Japan noong 1984. Sa Pilipinas, it was first broadcast and dubbed in Filipino sa IBC-13 noong 1992 ,then re-telecast sa GMA-7 noong 2003. It's last syndicated run was in Hero TV, cartoon channel of ABS-CBN, two years ago. It had 48 original episodes. Tulad ng isa pang popular Japanese work na Lupin, nakuha rin ng GMA-7 ang rights ng Shaider. Isa isa ito sa mga susunod na primetime shows ng Kapuso Network.
Dominic Zapata is set to direct the Philippine version of Shaider after his Super Twins stint.
Ang StarStruck 3 Ultimate Sole Survivor na si Marky Cielo ang nakatakdang gumanap sa papel na Shaider. Ang StarStruck 4 Ultimate Female Survivor namang si Kris Bernal ang napipisil na gumanap na Annie.
Si Jay Manalo naman ang gaganap sa main villain na si Commander Kom. He will have five female assistants—four of which will be Bianca King, Isabel Oli, Arci Muñoz, and Iwa Moto.
Ang Shaider din ang magiging follow-up primetime show ni Raymart Santiago after Narito Ang Puso Ko with Jolina Magdangal.
Sa original version ng Shaider, ang main character bilang Shaider/Dai Sawamura ay ginampanan ni Hiroshi Tsuburaya. Sa Philippine version nito ay ginawang Alexis del Mundo ang pangalan ng alter-ego ni Shaider. Si Annie naman ay ginampanan ni Naomi Morinaga. Namatay si Hiroshi noong July 24, 2001 sa edad na 37 dahil sa liver cancer.
Balitang ang Shaider ang papalit sa Asian Treasures nina Angel Locsin and Robin Padilla na magtatapos next month.

I remembered watching Shaider on a movie house with my father and seeing the preview of Maskman at the end of the movie. Please GMA-7, stop destroying our childhood heroes. Please.

Baka naman ayusin ng GMA Entertainment ang paggawa nito. At least, this time, hindi ito panggagaya kundi remake talaga. Abangan natin. :)

I can't say I'm excited about this, it's scary to see "The Shaider" about to be butchered. But I hope this comes out great. :D Thanks for the heads up. I don't watch GMA at all. Hehe.
Siguro ok naman ang kalalabasan ng Remake ng Shaider..Pero mayroon akong nabasa na si Drigo ang pangunahing kalaban ni Shaider...sa remake na ito...kumusta naman!Actually si Puma Leiar,at si syempre si Ida..Actually dapat existing parin ang mga tauhan dito hindi ung sinasabi nilang madalas na sariling ATAKE ano yun heart attack!I mean syempre yung mga tauhan at yung skeleton ng story nandoon parin.At ang pagtuunan ng pansin ay ang mgawa nilang maganda yung SPECIAL EFFECTS...gets?hindi yung 100x nilang sinasabing sariling atake...ayaw lang siguro nilang ma compare.Saka sana naman 90% ang Fighting SceneS..ska ma effect talaga...hindi katulad ng SUPER TWINS grabe hindi ba sila NABABADUYAN sorry pero opinion lang po.At 10% lang yung kilig effect nilang gawin sa Shaider...kasi dito dinadaan sa loveteam!!!pero iba ito eh..SHAIDER tapos love story!ano iyun...ACTUALLY BUTI PA ANG ROUNIN ni Eric Matti.Ok Summary: GAWIN LANG SANANG WORLD CLASS,HINDI YUNG MKA PAGPALABAS LANG...tulad ng super twins.At sana special effects lang ang pakielaman at ang pagbibigay ng role sa artista,hindi yung pati yung flow ng story at yung pag ka weird ng storya eh palitan...gets?Pki retain sana yung kung ano ang MINAHAL NAMIN NOON...ngayon yung mga anak na namin yung mkakapanood..sana naman maganda!MAKARATING SANA SA GMA 7 ITO...kasi mas maganda ang effect ng ROUNIN kaysa SUPER TWINS...DARNA..ETC.
Sino ang mga artista na yan? at bakit ginawang "teens" ang mga characters?
Sinong kamoteng anak ng isang taong mataas ang posisyon sa GMA ang nakakaisip ng mga yan?
