I love maps, especially Earth maps with clouds and weather updates. Google Earth made it possible for anyone with an internet connection to visit places anywhere on the planet right infront of the computers. But what if you use the same technology as Google Earth and overlay almost real-time clouds, earthquake reports, volcanic eruptions, and more? The result would be the fantastic EarthBrowser from Lunar Software Inc.
It's functions basically as the early version Google Earth but with added clouds and other interactive elements. EarthBrowser is not free, but you could still enjoy it as demo for as long as you like. As for me, seeing the path of storms and cloud formation is enough. No need to buy the complete software.
This software is better than the Yahoo! Toolbar-Powered Internet Explorer that our own weather bureau uses. Hey PAGASA, US$23.95 is cheap!
You may download EarthBrowser here.
