Filipino fans jumped for joy when the planned Shaider remake was scrapped. No more bastardization of one of our childhood memories.
But the horror didn't stop there. Instead, TOEI granted GMA-7 rights to create an original series based on the descendants of Shaider with the same cast. We were all anxious to see how GMA-7 would handle this though job until Inquirer.net released a teaser photo today.
OMGWTF?! Look at their badge. It's a Star Trek communicator rip-off! Am I surprised? Naah... Probably, this costume is from the same staff and director who gave us these rip-offs:
I'm excited to see Vavilos. I bet it looks exactly like a USS Enterprise starship that transforms into an uber-huge toaster.

The star fleet logo is copy righted by paramount and cbs studios. Copy right infringement!
Yeah right, as if it ws even at the level of the old shaider.. If I was a fan of Shaider I will only be disappointed of the effects and the performance. The old shaider was even better than this one.. maybe the story is good and the character areall good looking and beautiful pero hindi naman papogian at pagandahan ang laban ahhh??? C shaider ay matangkad eh yung 3 na heroes? kung ako director ng old shaider ipapapaBAN ko yan eh makita nila kc binababoy nila.. Nung bata ako love ko yung shaider wala akong pinalampas kahit tumanda nako matapos ko lang yun.. ASAr Disappointed talaga ako sa kanila.. Acting cguro medyo ok, effects bagsak as in upto 10 bigay ko dyan 2 lang. masks lang bagsak na eh. cla nga nagtiis na mainitan mapaganda lang tapos ngayun wag lang mahirapan kahit ganyan lang ok na... hay naku bagsak na talaga ang Pilipinas.. May pag asa pa ba toh? Ayusin kamo nila kc masarap itapon sa basurahan di ko yan papanoorin kahit bata ako.. Wala sakin kung orig o hindi, as long as it is atleast at the standard level noh...!!! Mahabag naman sila sa Entertainment! Di naman kc papogian dinadaan dun mapababa lang ang presyo ng paggawa ng pelikula. Effects and Hardwork po ang mahalaga dyan...!!! Magising naman sana.. Kung may kontak kayo, kontakin nyo na magising lang sa katotohanan!

Toaster? Eh kung gusto nila makakuha ng mas malakas na microwave signal eh di gas range na lang sana ginamit! Wahahah! Kung ako ang Physics teacher ng isa sa mga writers ng Zaido (which I doubt because they either lack knowledge in Physics laws or they're just resting too much on their laurels and think that they can deliver the job even without research), binawi ko ang grade na binigay sa kanya dahil napahiya ang pagiging teacher ko. Hay naku, is this world class quality?
As usual, the local television comes up with the worst ideas ever.
