Captain's Log Stardate -315866.13

I bought some medicines for our medicine cabinet last week. Paracetamols, Carbocisteine (Solmux), antacids, Mefenamic Acid, and sore throat lozenges. Guess how much I spent on all these meds? P300? Nope, I bought all of them for just under P100.

That's the magic of generic medicines. For all these years, we've been spending a lot on medicines. Imagine, A 500mg Paracetamol (Biogesic) from Mercury Drug Store costs about P2.75 while a generic brand from The Generics Pharmacy costs only P0.50. That's more than 80% in savings!

The medicines sold at The Generics Pharmacy are of course generic medicines. These are products that have the same active ingredients, same dosage and strength as the branded and expensive medicines on bigger drugstores. They are also safe as the pharmacy is recognized by the Department of Health (DOH) and the Bureau of Food and Drugs (BFAD).

Let's go generic!

Not bad at all. Do they also sell prescription medications, or is it all over-the-counter?

Also, all of the free stuff they offer is simply stunning. I'd never see anything like that here in the States, except for the blood pressure tests.

Generics Pharmacy is not the only pharmacy in the philippines that can offer affordable medicine to the masses. Johnston Pharmacy is the pioneer in community based drugstore that also offers affordable but effective medicine. I've heard their franchise support is much better at may personal touch...I have a relative who's a franchisee and they are very happy. Successful na drugstore nila and they are wanting to put another Johnston pharmacy franchise soon. Check it out mga bro. This is Hoogy by the way.

johnston pharmacy franchisors are only after your money...tanong mo sa lahat ng franchisee for proof..
