One day, Glen and I were happy talking about his series of unfortunate experiences with an OJT nurse at some hospital. He donated blood for his sick cousin, Kate. We were both laughing and at the same time concerned that her cousin might not survive. Next day, I receive an SMS informing me that Kate is gone.

I haven't seen Kate until Glen posted her picture on his blog. I was surprised to see that Kate was the same girl I saw on TV several days ago. She was one of the kids who received gifts and entertainment from ABS-CBN last Thursday. If my memory serves me right, I saw her singing with Jericho Rosales and being interviewed on TV. The reporter mentioned that she has a chronic renal failure and might not survive that long.


I remembered my grandma saying, "Kawawa naman yan, masyado pa syang bata para magkasakit ng ganyan". From what I've seen on TV, Kate was really happy while singing with her favorite stars. Tomorrow's the last day of her wake at Funeraria Central in Navotas. I hope that Jericho Rosales finds time to visit her again, one last time.
