The postpaid subscription package of Sun Cellular that looks like a "wireless landline" but it is not, is back! SunTel first came out last year with a subscription package very similar to the regular Plan 350 of Sun Cellular. But instead of having a normal looking mobile phone, it came with a unit that looked very much like the wireless landline handsets from Globelines and BayanTel.
Now Sun Cellular has relaunched SunTel as a wireless landline (GSM) to directly compete with PLDT Landline Plus, BayanWIRELESS, and Globe Wireless Landline.
For only P499, subscribers can make unlimited local landline calls for one month. Subscription has a 24-month lock in period and comes with a free Huawei ETS GSM Series 3 fixed wireless terminal. Subscribers also have the option to get a Nokia 1208 and LG KP105. Unlike Globe and BayanTel who use a CDMA network, SunTel uses the same GSM network of Sun Cellular. Makes you wonder on what happened to their MANGO.
SunTel is initially available in Metro Manila. For more information, call Sun Cellular's hotline at 395-8000 or visit Sun Cellular's website - http://www.suncellular.com.ph
