I know most of you (including me) have been using phTwitter / phPlurk to send updates to our Twitter and Plurk but there have been problems with them lately. Updates are delayed, or worse, not posted. Some say that the telcos have been blocking their numbers or maybe, just a simple case of network congestion. Now here's an alternative way for Sun Cellular subscribers to update their Facebook and Twitter status.

Introducing Sun ALERTZ from Sun Cellular. Sun ALERTZ allows any Sun Cellular subscriber whether postpaid or prepaid to update their Twitter and Facebook status for only P1 per message. You can also subscribe to 3 unlimited packages to receive alerts.

- P15 for 1 day
- P50 for 7 days
- P150 for 30 days

For Twitter users, text LOGIN [twitter username] [twitter password] to 2555. To post a tweet, text TW [your message] to 2555. Example, TW I am mobile.

For Facebook users, go to http://apps.facebook.com/sunalertz to verify your number and add the Sun Alertz app. To update your Facebook status, text FB [status] to 2555. Example, FB eating at a pizza parlor.

To subscribe to any of the unlimited packages, text BUY [# of days] to 2555. For more info, just text HELP to 2555.
