 After weeks of requests, Globe finally launched DUO on prepaid. Compared to DUO Postpaid, DUO Prepaid is a bit on the complicated and expensive side.
DUO Prepaid costs P125 per 5 days and P350 per 14 days. That's about P700 for 28 days, barely a month of unlimited landline service. Compared to DUO Postpaid's P399 per month, DUO Prepaid IS expensive. But bear in mind that this is the ONLY prepaid wireless landline in the country offering unlimited calls and the only service that doesn't require a separate handset.
There's a little bit of a problem though, DUO Prepaid is not available for all prepaid subscribers. You need to purchase the new DUO-ready prepaid SIM for P45 just to avail this service.
Bad news for people like me who'd like to retain their old numbers. My Globe prepaid SIM will be turning 10 years old this December Globe, and I'm not ready to dump it just to get DUO Prepaid. I'd rather use another phone for PLDT Landline Plus. You listening Globe? THIS SUCKS!
Anyway, to retain the DUO number, subscribers have 30 days to renew their DUO subscription once it has expired. If not, the DUO number will be deactivated and will be available again for others to register.
Globe DUO is initially available in Metro Manila and Cebu. For more information, text DUO to 8888.
UPDATE: DUO is now available to ALL Prepaid subscribers with the following packages:
P25 = 1 day (available only in Cebu) P125 = 5 days P350 = 14 days P450 = 30 days
To register, just text DUO MM 125, DUO MM 350, or DUO MM 450 for NCR subscribers and DUO CEB 25, DUO CEB 125, DUO CEB 350, DUO CEB 450 for Cebu subscribers.
DUO for prepaid is available to ALL prepaid subscribers, Load Allowance Plan, and Load Tipid Subscribers.

Bah. That sucks.
@ade - yeah :~(
Globe DUO postpaid is way better!
Mahal nga. I'd rather subscribe to the postpaid plan...
My 1mo Globe Duo plan is not working again; worked for only 1.5 days in the past 6 days. after 5 complaints, think i'm done. i'm giving up.
Globe Duo is a great, innovative idea, but an unreliable service. 450 went to nothing, with lost transactions and other economic costs. sad.
maybe it's only good for postpaid subscribers.
