Globe Telecom's Tracker, a location-based service that allows you to get a general description of the location of your family, friends, or establishments in the Philippines is now available on the web. Tracker locates mobile phones using the signals received by the cell sites of Globe Telecom's cellular network.
I was one of the early supporters of this product and it has come a long way. You can now use Globe Tracker almost anywhere, from SMS to WAP and now the internet.
The new Globe Tracker on the Web also features a map similar to Google Maps. Tracker's MMS version gives you a general idea where the person is currently located with a map screenshot, with the Web version, you can now browse and zoom in/out just like with Google Maps.
