Better Check Your Maynilad Bills

I was surprised when my father told me that our Maynilad water bill this month is P1200+, which only averages P200-P250 (20-25 cubic meters) for the past several years. Even during summer, our bill has never reached P500. And since it has been raining for the past few weeks, water allocation for watering my grandma's plants and laundries has been less. Given these circumstances, our bill should have been lower compared last month
The Maynilad bill states that we had consumed 51 cubic meters of water from June 8 to July 8, 2009. That's a 100% increase from our normal monthly average! Since reading our previous bills didn't make any sense, I checked the water meter outside to see if there's something wrong.

Noticed something weird? The meter only reads 2433 m3 as of July 16, 2009 compared to the 2452 m3 "present reading" from our water bill and was probably taken around July 5-8, 2009.
Forgot basic mathematics Maynilad?

We have the same problem. Nagreklamo na kami sa Customer Service nila, sabi nila walang actual reading na nangyari. WTF! Pwede ba naman yung manghula lang sila.
