After the rants of Senator Juan Ponce Enrile about his disappearing mobile load, our useless NTC has drafted new rules extending the life of mobile prepaid credits. Under the new rule that is expected to be approved today, the P10 prepaid load will have a validity period of 3 days compared to its original 24-hr validity.
"The expiration or validity of prepaid loads shall correspond to the amount of loads purchased... The higher the prepaid loads, the longer is the expiration or validity period," according to the NTC draft circular.
P10 to P20 = 7 days over P20 to P30 = 10 days over P30 to P40 = 14 days over P40 to P50 = 17 days over P50 to P60 = 20 days over P60 to P70 = 24 days over P70 to P80 = 21 days over P80 to P100 = 30 days over Pl00 to Pl50 = 45 days over Pl50 to P200 = 60 days over P200 to P300 = 90 days over P300 to P600 = 150 days
The draft also states, "The validity period starts upon receipt of confirmation of the prepaid loads purchased. Call data records shall be made available to the prepaid users upon request free of charge"
Great news to all prepaid subscribers on a tight budget. Another thing, would the 2nd expiry or the SIM's validity will also be extended? If yes, for how long?
