Globe Muzta! is a web call service that allows you to place calls from anywhere in the world using a PC with an internet connection to any mobile phone or landline in the Philippines using local rates (P6.50/min). It also allows Globe and TM mobile phones to contact your PC through the 817 virtual number assigned to you, also at local rates (P6.50/min). PC-to- PC calls and chat are free.
There are no registration fees and monthly service fees when you subscribe to Muzta!. You will only pay for the calls and texts you make.
Once you register, you will be given your 817 virtual number and you will be able to call and chat with other Muzta! users and receive calls for free. Just reload your account if you want to call and text mobile or landline numbers.
Keep on loading your account and call and text other mobile and landline users to keep your 817 virtual number active.
To register to Globe Muzta just visit the Globe Kababayan site, click on Muzta! icon and click "Subscribe". You will be asked to login using your Globe account (register for a Globe account here) before you can download the software.

Great news!
I should try this...
I registered for Muzta, downloaded it, and then installed it. On registration, you get a number with prefix 0817. Here is what I think of it.
1. Globe took my credit card number and my money but has yet to give me my load. I bought load with my credit card through Globe’s website as instructed by the muzta website. I did that 2 days ago and I still don’t have my load even though I received an email saying my order was processed and paid. So, up till now, am unable to test whether it can make outgoing calls.
2. Even without load, it received calls from Globe, no problem. Friend of mine called the number and we spoke for a while. Sound quality was good from both ends.
Smart however is unable to call the 0817 number (recording saying number is unattended even though the account is online and just received a call from a globe phone).
The concept is good. Readily available web-based Philippine number with no extra accessories needed (like SIM card or USB device). Now, if only Globe would give me my load and work on PLDT/SMART access soon…
