50 days after the historic first fully computerized-election in our country, we'll all wake-up later with a new President and a "new" government.
A president who's not a lawyer from Harvard who topped the Philippine Bar Exams and a former Defense Secretary; A president who did not work his way up from a sea of garbage to riches and eventually authoring more than 20 laws; A president who is not a Red Cross volunteer who authored more than 20 laws, transformed Subic into a world class trade center, and brought in investors and tourists into the country; A president who did not help uncovering the corruption in Bataan Nuclear Power Plant.
We'll wake up to a president who happens to be just the son of a Filipino Hero and a former Philippine President. A brother of a smart actress who I now seriously doubt her sanity. A president who authored less than 10 bills, non of which were made into laws. And a president who mastered the art of sleeping while standing and being caught on camera.
Good luck Philippines and I do hope walang sisihan or rallies in the next 6 years. Oh before I forget, we'll also be waking up to a new Vice President who has been suspended by DILG for supposedly hiring ghost employees.
But what we should always remember: our new President and Vice President have been chosen by most Pinoys and we should all respect that.
