I don't think JJ's version is going to be a problem with Trekkers out there. It's going to be an improvement, no matter what, after the last 6-7 movie series.

I don't think we have to worry about them destroying the franchise with a prequel. If is could survive The Motion Picture, The Final Frontier, and Nemesis then it can survive most anything.<BR/><BR/>How many franchises can really survive three movies as awful as those were?<BR/><BR/>Though, come to think, of it, Nemesis did kind of drive a stake into the heart of the franchise...
